Ga. mother Shannon Lawrence killed during custody exchange
(CBS/WGCL/AP) MILTON, Ga. - Police say a Georgia man murdered the mother of his two children during a child custody exchange.
Police say 25-year-old Christopher Erdman is charged with murder, accused of shooting 25-year-old Shannon Lawrence four times in a parking lot near a Milton bank branch.
CBS affiliate WGCL reports that the children witnessed the shooting.
After the shooting, police said Erdman took the children to a family member's home in Forsyth County and then took Lawrence to the hospital, where they arrested him.
Relatives said the two used to live together in Forsyth County.
Fulton County Jail Records show that Erdman was arrested Sunday on a murder charge.
