Burlington Township Police, nearby police departments and volunteers, searched for Sarah in and around Sherman's Pond in Green Acres Park in western New Jersey, reports CBS afffiliate KYW.

"Sarah we love you, we want you to come home," her mother pleaded Tuesday at police headquarters, reports the station.

Although police found Sarah's purse and cell phone in her car, they say there is no evidence of foul play.

"Everything leads us to believe she's alive," said Lieutenant Bruce Painter to the station.

The Allentown High School senior left her home around 7 a.m. Monday and was expected to be heading to school. Three hours later Sarah's car was found parked near the pond by her 20-year-old boyfriend, who then proceeded to call 911.

Police are urging anyone who might know what happened to Sarah to contact Burlington County police immediately at 609-239-5896.
