Ex-employee accused of killing car dealer, taking car

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Police say a man who used to work for a car dealership in Fayetteville has been arrested and charged with killing his former boss.

Police told local media outlets that 48-year-old Ambrose Dumone Murray, of Fayetteville, was arrested Saturday night and charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and motor vehicle theft.

Officers found 72-year-old Joseph Carl Wallace's body inside his used car dealership last Wednesday. Court documents said Wallace had last been seen about five days earlier.

The documents say Wallace appeared to have been struck in the head and cut on his neck. Police say the investigation revealed that two cars had been taken from Wallace's business.

It was not clear if Murray has an attorney.
