Ellen DeGeneres is behind "Green Eggs and Ham" for Netflix
Ellen DeGeneres is behind a new Netflix series based on the classic Dr. Seuss book, "Green Eggs and Ham."
She announced the news on her show Wednesday saying, "It's going to be cutting-edge animation: It's never been done on television before. It's very, very cool."
DeGeneres will serve as one of the producers on the Netflix series, from "Wreck-It-Ralph" writer Jared Stern. There's no word on if DeGeneres will also voice a character in the animated series.
The 13-episode series isn't expected to debut until 2018.
