FRESNO, Calif. -- Authorities in Central California say an autopsy of an unarmed 19-year-old man shot and killed by police in Fresno found traces of cocaine and an alcohol level well above the legal limit.

The Fresno County's Sheriff's Office said Tuesday Dylan Noble's toxicology results show a blood alcohol content of 0.12, above the legal limit of 0.08 percent, and traces of Benzoylecgonine, the main ingredient in cocaine.

The office says it has no other details on the autopsy.

Officers shot Noble, who is white, on June 25 during a traffic stop. Just before the incident, they had been searching for an armed man.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer has said officers had no way of knowing Noble was unarmed because he refused to cooperate.

Officers' body-camera video shows Noble defying repeated shouts from officers to show his hands, or be shot. Police have said they thought he was reaching for a weapon, but it turned out he was holding a small plastic box.

Each of Noble's parents has filed a claim seeking payment from the city for their son's death.
