(CBS) Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has done it again. While shopping in Chelsea on Wednesday Kate spotted a sale-item at the Anonymous by Ross+Bute boutique and had to snatch it up - and therefore, so did everyone else.

The knitted purple top with an embellished neckline was reduced from 169 pounds to 84.50 pounds. Almost instantly the item sold out on the website, reports Marie Claire UK.

This is not the first time the duchess has caused an item to sell out in stores just by buying or wearing it. The duchess' style is revered by many, and due to her own frugality, her style is actually accessible to the people, which is good news for retailers.

Kate's famous navy Issa dress, the dress she wore for her engagement announcement, sold out instantly as well.
