A motorcyclist was filming Saturday when another person's motorcycle crossed the double yellow lines on Texas' Tin Top Highway, and began to pass a car that police say was driven by 68-year-old William Crum. On video, the car can be seen veering suddenly to its left, striking the motorcycle.

Crum was charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $75,000 for each charge.

Eric Sanders, who was driving the motorcycle allegedly struck by Crum, told CBS affiliate KHOU that he suffered road rash and deep cuts. His girlfriend, 38-year-old Debra Simpson, was a passenger on his motorcycle and remains in the intensive care unit at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

If Crum is convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for each count. His criminal record includes previous charges for family violence, abusive calls to 911 and reckless driving, CBS DFW reports.
