"Doctor Who" unveils first full-length season 8 trailer

We're nearly a month away from the premiere of the eighth season of "Doctor Who," and fans now have a new teaser to hold them over until Aug. 23.

The first full-length trailer for the next installment in the British series debuted Sunday. It gives the closest look yet at Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor and glimpses of what's in store for the Time Lord this season.

There are lots of explosions, a rampaging T-Rex, a Dalek declaring that "life returns" and Clara's (Jenna Coleman) uncertainty about the new Time Lord ("I don't think I know who the Doctor is anymore," she laments).

The Doctor, meanwhile, appears to have plans to right some wrongs.

"I'm the Doctor. I've lived for over 2,000 years. I've made many mistakes. It's about time I did something about that," he says in the trailer.

The trailer's debut comes a week after the BBC confirmed five scripts from the upcoming season were leaked online, but implored fans to avoid sharing spoilers ahead of next month's premiere.
