Death of Texas mom found in SUV with 3 live children ruled suicide

FRISCO, Texas-- The death of a Texas mother whose body was found in her SUV last month with her hungry, thirsty children alive beside her has been ruled a suicide.

A Frisco police statement says the Collin County Medical Examiner's Office has determined that Christine Thi Woo died of a self-inflicted overdose.

Her body and her three children were found March 31 in an SUV parked in a Target department store parking lot in the Dallas suburb of McKinney. The woman and children had been missing for three days.

Authorities have said the children -- ages 1, 3 and 5 -- were examined at a hospital and appeared to be well.

Investigators had released surveillance video from a Frisco Walgreens that showed Christine Woo and her children inside the store Monday morning.

Woo's husband Brandon Woo reported March 29 that his wife and children had been missing since Monday morning. He said he came home from work that day to an empty house, according to CBS affiliate KHOU. He believed he needed to wait 24 hours until he filed the report, according to the station.

Before the discovery, Brandon Woo told CBS DFW there were no family problems and he couldn't think of anything that would have prompted her to leave.

"She's a loving mother, a great wife. She's the most stable person you could ever meet," Brandon Woo said.
