Dave Grohl's surgeon joined him onstage for White Stripes cover

Dave Grohl has one of the coolest orthopedic surgeons in the world!

The rock icon, who seriously injured his leg during a concert in June, invited Dr. Lew C. Schon onstage during the Foo Fighters' second night at Fenway Park in Boston, and the kickass surgeon led the band in an insane cover of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army."

After totally dominating the three-and-a-half-minute performance, Grohl could barely contain his excitement.

"Holy s**t, that's actually my doctor! What the f**k?" Grohl said, laughing in amazement. "What a badass."

Dr. Schon is responsible for caring for and treating Grohl's broken leg, which he shattered during a concert in Sweden last month. After the injury, Grohl didn't even let it slow him down and instead took the stage to finish the show while an EMT tech applied a cast.

The Foo Fighters did have to cancel a number of shows due to the injury, but Grohl was back in action as quick as possible, rocking out from atop a Game of Thrones-esque guitar throne. Check out the video below to see Grohl's epic guitar throne in all its glory.
