Damon Wayans: "Stop twisting my words" about Bill Cosby

Damon Wayans took to Twitter to say he feels his words are being twisted after an interview he did Friday with the New York City Power 105.1 radio show, "The Breakfast Club."

During the 30-plus minute chat, Wayans, 55, was asked what he thought about the Bill Cosby scandal and the many women who have accused the comedian of sexual assault.

"What advice would you give Bill Cosby?" host Angela Yee asked.

"Tell the truth, if I was him, I would divorce my wife, wink wink. Give her all my money, and then I would go to a deposition, light one of those three-hour cigars. I'd have me some wine and maybe a Quaalude, and I would just go off," he responded.

But then Wayans continued, and his following comments caused quite a stir on social media.

"I don't believe he was raping," he said. "He was in relationships with all of them."

Wayans then noted how some of the women who have come out against Cosby didn't say anything for 40 years, later adding, "And some of them is unrapeable. I look at them and go, no, you don't want that. Get out of here."

He said, "Women will throw themselves at you."

"If it was my daughter, then I would have killed Bill Cosby. But just sitting back looking at it, I just go, I just don't believe this. I think it's a money hustle," he said at one point.

After the actor-comedian's interview gained traction, Wayans tweeted: "Stop twisting my words. Watch the entire interview before u condemn me!"

He also posted a clip from the radio interview in which he says, "And for them, my heart goes out to them. For anybody who was raped by Bill Cosby, I'm sorry and I hope you get justice."

Cosby has denied any wrongdoing.
