(CBS) A Wisconsin woman discovered nothing good comes for free, after answering a Craigslist ad placed by a Brooklyn man offering rent-free lodging in exchange for domestic assistance.

However, John Hopkins, 45, of East Williamsburg was allegedly interested in more than just cooking and cleaning as his ad suggested.

According to The New York Post, Hopkins paid for the 27-year-old victim's plane ticket, picked her up at Kennedy Airport Feb. 4, and brought her to his place on Humboldt Street.

Hopkins then revealed his ruse to the victim telling her that he had flown her to New York in order to be his sex slave. He then allegedly blindfolded and gagged her, handcuffed her to a radiator, and began beating and raping her, says The Post.

Over the course of the next eight days, Hopkins allegedly kept the woman captive in his apartment, only allowing her to leave for her job at a Manhattan restaurant.

The woman contacted her mother who then alerted the New York Police Department.

According to The Post, when cops arrived at the apartment, they found the victim trembling on Hopkins' bed.

Hopkins is facing a multitude of charges, including rape, assault, and unlawful imprisonment.
