Clinton Unveils Another New TV Ad
From CBS News' Michelle Levi:
Hillary Clinton's campaign just released a television ad to air in North Carolina -- her first in the potential make-or-break state, which votes on May 6.
The ad, her second in two days, features Clinton saying on camera, "Hi, if you are looking for a typical political commercial, switch the channel. This isn't a typical election, and these are not typical times." She gives examples of problems with the economy, treatment of veterans, schools and the middle class and then says, "I want to hear from you. Because this election isn't about me, it is about you." Adding a personal touch, Clinton closes, "thanks, it was nice talking with you."
Meantime, in a conference call earlier today, Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson discussed the campaign's decision not to release March fund-raising figures after Barack Obama's campaign said he raised $40 million in March. Wolfson tried to assure reporters, "You will be able to see how we are spending our money. We will have considerable advertising on the air in PA and other states and thats what we are going to do with our money."
