(CBS) GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The FBI will be joining city police and other law enforcement agencies in the continuing search for missing University of Florida freshman Christian Aguilar, who disappeared 12 days ago, CBS Miami reports.
Sweetwater Mayor Manuel Maroño and several police officers left early Tuesday to look for the missing teen, who was last seen Sept. 20 on surveillance video leaving a Gainesville Best Buy with 18-year-old Pedro Bravo.
Bravo was named a person of interest in the case two days later after he told police he has beaten Christian and left him in a parking lot.
Bravo was charged with Aguilar's murder on Sept. 28. Aguilar's body still remains unfound.
A special church service is planned for Wednesday night at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a benefit concert will be performed at Florida International University on Oct. 14.
