A rep for Hemsworth, 28, confirmed the baby news to People on Wednesday. Pataky, 35, reportedly told Hola! magazine that "Chris and I are ecstatic, very happy and excited."

"Since it's our first child we don't care if it's a boy or girl, our only wish is that it's healthy," the "Fast Five" actress added.

The couple married in 2010, and will reportedly welcome the baby this spring.

Hemsworth will appear next alongside Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron in "Snow White and the Huntsman," which is scheduled to open in theaters on June 1.
