Can't Get Enough MLB? Come See MLBAM's Bob Bowman at EconSports

This story was written by Amanda Natividad.

What does Major League Baseball Advanced Media have in store for baseball fans next season? Come to EconSports, Oct. 29 at the Edison Ballroom in New York, to find out. There, Bob Bowman, MLBAM's president and CEO, will be featured in a Spotlight Q&A. Other Q&As at the event will be with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and John Skipper, EVP of content for *ESPN*.

Recently, D.C. United broke with Major League Soccer on its digital strategy and a few weeks ago, NHL.com launched in public beta, offering live and archived video, among other features. Earlier this summer we reported on ESPN and MLBAM extending their digital rights deal until 2013, one that gives the sports media giant live streaming rights for online and mobilea first for Major League Baseball. We spoke with Skipper and Bowman about the reason for the change, rev share and more. Will online baseball be live in local markets next season? Read ongoing coverage on our sports channel and discuss these issues and more at EconSports.

EconSports tickets are available for $300; EconSports/EconWomen combos are available for $500 and ticket packages for EconSports, EconWomen and the Future of Business Media are $999.

Thanks to our event partners and sponsors, including FOBM platinum sponsor The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc.; FOBM silver sponsors Theorem and Dow Jones; and EconWomen silver sponsor, SheKnows.
