Candice Swanepoel launches new Victoria's Secret scent (Pictures)

(CBS) South African-born Victoria 's Secret model Candice Swanepoel is the face of Sheer Love, the brand's new Fantasies body lotion and scent collection.

The 22-year-old "Angel," wearing a floral Balanciaga sundress, introduced the new fragrance line in the company's flagship store in The Grove in Los Angeles on July 19.

The event included a photo shoot, meet-and-greet with fans, and a series of media interviews.

That evening, Swanepoel changed into a dark, form-fitting Victoria Beckham dress for a dinner she was hosting at Chateau Marmont to celebrate the new product. A number of celebrities, including actress Kristin Cavallari, attended.

Swanepoel has walked the runway and appeared in catalogs for Victoria's Secret since 2007. She opened the first Victoria Secret store in Canada last summer.

She also has appeared on the covers of Vogue and Elle and has modeled on runways for Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbana, Betsey Johnson and Diane von Furstenberg
