Calif. man accused of attacking girlfriend with bat for refusing sex

PLACENTIA, Calif. -- Police say an Orange County man attacked his girlfriend with a bat after she refused him sex and then beat the woman's 17-year-old son when he tried to intervene.

The Orange County Register newspaper reported Tuesday that 32-year-old Jackee Jeffries of Placentia faces charges including forced sodomy and assault.

Placentia police Lt. Eric Point says Jeffries became enraged Friday when the woman rejected his advances.

The woman was hospitalized with a head laceration and a broken arm and hand. Her son had minor injuries.

Jeffries will appear in court Dec. 4. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
