On Monday -- the first Monday in October -- the Supreme Court begins its fall term (no shutdown there!) -- with a challenge to individual campaign contributions a top item on the docket.

Tuesday is publication day for a memoir by Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teen who was shot and wounded by the Taliban last October because of her activism.

On Wednesday, NASA's Juno spacecraft passes just 310 miles above the Earth, getting a boost in speed from the Earth's gravity before heading on toward Jupiter.

Thursday's the day Fortune magazine releases its annual list of the 50 most powerful women in American business.

On Friday, the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is announced in Oslo.

And on Saturday, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth opens an exhibit of artworks temporarily installed in President and Mrs. Kennedy's hotel suite the night before the assassination. The exhibit includes works by Thomas Eakins, Pablo Picasso and Henry Moore.
