MEMPHIS -- The fourth suspect arrested for the murder of a Memphis seven-year-old, who was shot while she played outside her house April 10, is the brother of a teenage girl who was killed hours before, reports CBS affiliate WREG.

Police aren't saying whether the incidents are related, reports the station.

Carlos Stokes, 22, was arrested Wednesday night on first degree murder charges in the shooting death of Kirsten Williams, 7.

Stokes is reportedly the brother of Cateria Stokes, 15, was shot and killed just before 2 a.m. on April 10 while sleeping in her bed at her Memphis home. A 61-year-old man was also shot and wounded there.

In the Kirsten Williams case, three suspects -- Carl Johnson, 19, Jordan Clayton, 21, and Branden Brookins, 19 - were already in custody. Police say they drove up and to William's house and fired multiple rounds from their car.

The child was fatally struck in the head.

The station reported that the men are all members of local gangs and that Clayton and Brookins have criminal records. All three face first-degree murder charges.

Carlos Stokes, a fourth suspect, was arrested Wednesday night on first degree murder charges, reports WREG. He is reportedly the brother of Cateria Stokes.

According to a police affidavit obtained by the station, one of Carlos Stokes' co-defendants identified him as the person who planned Williams' shooting in retaliation for the shooting of a 22-year-old on April 9.

"We do know someone at that house was the intended target, but we have not been able to determine if Kirsten Williams was the target," Toney Armstrong, Director of Memphis Police Services, told the station last week.
