Boy Fends Off Coyote With Snowboard
A quick-thinking nine-year-old Colorado boy fought off a coyote using his snowboard.
Tony Sandlin was snowboarding with his six-year-old brother, Vincent, at a local golf course behind their home in Erie, Colo., east of Boulder, when they the coyote approached, circling Tony, then biting him on his right arm.
Tony was able to stop the attack by whacking the coyote on the side of the face with his snowboard.
He's currently going through a series of rabies shots, which are very painful.
Tony, his mother, Stacey, and Vincent, spoke with Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith Monday:
