Beyonce "talks" in rare interview with Beat Magazine

Queen Bey knows silence is golden when keeping an air of mystery.

The famed pop star did not give an interview to Vogue for the September issue -- a highly unusual move for the magazine.

But now, Beyonce has broken her silence to Beat Magazine -- though that's not entirely true.

The singer gave an interview to the little-known magazine, where she said, "What does fear taste like? Success. I have accomplished nothing without a little taste of fear in my mouth."

YouTube is buzzing with Queen Bey's new video 01:48

Sounds like a comment too polished to just roll off the tongue, doesn't it? Well, it is.

The magazine bragged on its site, "Beyonce hasn't done a print chat since 2013 ... Until now that is."

And it is a print chat, in the literal sense, because the interview was not in person. Beyonce delivered her answers via email, reports Refinery 29.

Interviewer Michael Cragg told Refinery29 he believes the email was indeed straight from the horse's mouth, saying: "She's so in control of everything she does and what goes out that it just wouldn't happen. Plus, there were emojis in the email, and emojis are incredibly personal."

Other nuggets from the interview include tidbits about Beyonce's favorite song to sing in the shower ("Holy Ghost" by Kim Burrell) and what she likes to eat on her pizza ("extra tomato sauce and jalapenos").

Beyonce posted a photo of Beat's cover on Instagram, writing, "I sneezed on the BEAT and the BEAT got sicker."
