(CBS) HAMPTON, Va. - Susan Tinker, an employee at a Virginia Waffle House, was arrested after allegedly calling 911 Monday to report a false robbery as part of an April Fools' Day prank, CBS affiliate WTVR reports.

Guess the joke's on her.

Police in Hampton, Va. said the 20-year-old Tinker called 911 around 6:00 Monday morning to report a robbery at the Waffle House on West Mercury Boulevard where she works.

When police arrived at the restaurant, they said they investigated the robbery for more than an hour. While waiting for the manager to arrive to review security camera footage, police said they determined there was no robbery and that Tinker called 911 as an April Fools' Day joke, the station reports.

"This is certainly not funny in any sort of way," Hampton Police Cpl. Mary Shackelford said.

Tinker is charged with a misdemeanor of falsely summoning police. According to the station, the manager of the Waffle House had not yet commented about the matter.
