(CBS) NEW YORK - Plea deal negotiations are under way for a 45-year-old woman accused of running a massive marijuana-grow operation out of a Queens warehouse, reports lohud.com.

According to the paper, Andrea Sanderlin appeared in court Monday with her attorney, Joel Winograd, for a brief meeting with U.S. District Judge Brian M. Cogan. The judge reportedly put off the case until September 24 while the defense attorney and prosecutors discuss the plea deal.

Sanderlin did not comment as she walked out of the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, reports the paper.

She was released from jail on July 1 after posting a $500,000 bond. The mother of three is staying at one of her children's grandparents home in Manhattan and is being monitored electronically.

Sanderlin pleaded not guilty in June to charges of manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute and maintaining a drug-involved premise.

She first came under suspicion after U.S. Drug Enforcement agents found that a Consolidated Edison utility account linked to her was being used to power lighting, irrigation and ventilation at a Queens warehouse, court papers said. The operation was listed under the name Fantastic Enterprises.

The agents tailed the mother of three driving a Mercedes from a $2.3 million Scarsdale home to a Queens warehouse and back. They stopped her on May 20, the complaint said.

After getting a warrant, they searched the warehouse and found more than 2,800 pot plants and large amounts of dried marijuana, officials said. The plants were worth an estimated $3 million on the street.

If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison, although the term could be shorter under federal sentencing guidelines.
