Amanda Bynes to stay under psychiatric care for another 30 days

Amanda Bynes is looking at another month under psychiatric care.

People reports that a judge decided to prolong the former child star's stay at a psychiatric facility for an additional 30 days. Doctors had requested she continue her time there, noting that they didn't feel she was ready for release.

Bynes, 29, involuntarily checked into the facility on Oct. 10 under a 72-hour psychiatric hold following a series of headlining-grabbing incidents including a DUI arrest and an alleged shoplifting incident.

She also posted a series of bizarre tweets about her father, personal life and more. In her Twitter rant Bynes accused her father of sexual abuse before taking it all back, blaming her claims on a "microchip" in her head.

Bynes shot to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon and later appeared in the films "Hairspray" and "She's the Man." More recently, she's expressed an interest in a career in fashion design.
