Alexis Colson, married Fla. mother, charged with having sex with boy, 16

(CBS) LAND O'LAKES, Fla. - Alexis Colson, a married mother of three, was arrested in Florida Tuesday for having sex with a 16-year-old boy, CBS affiliate WTSP reports.

Investigators say the 37-year-old Colson, of Land O'Lakes, Fla., arranged to have sex with the boy by sending him instructions on where to meet and what kind of car she would be in, according to the station.

"This is a woman who was aware of the age of the victim in this case. She knew the victim through her daughter," Melanie Snow, Pasco Sheriff's spokesperson, said.

Snow said authorities received a phone call from the victim's father reporting the relationship.

Colson is also accused of sending naked and sexually explicit photos of herself to the 16-year-old boy, according to WTSP.

Colson covered her face with a jacket as she ran from her car into her house Wednesday afternoon. A man, believed to be her husband Tim Colson, also declined to comment to WTSP.

People in Colson's neighborhood told the station they did not know her well. They were reportedly taken aback by the arrest.

The Tampa Bay Times reports Colson is charged with unlawful sex with a minor and electronic transfer of materials harmful to a minor. She was released from Land O'Lakes jail on $15,000 bail.
