A joke? Grandma's pix of baby bring police to her door

WEST COLUMBUS, Ohio - Authorities in West Columbus, Ohio say a grandmother posted pictures on Facebook showing her granddaughter with a pacifier duct-taped to her face.

Jackie Sheaks told CBS affiliate WBNS that she posted the pictures as a joke and says they were blown out of proportion.

"We're not horrible people that they are making us out to be," she told the station.

Sheaks said the duct-tape was only on her granddaughter's face long enough to take the photo. She also took a picture of the little girl in a roasting pan surrounded by potatoes, reports the station.

"We put a little tape on the pacifier because we were being silly," she said. "We wanted to share it with friends because everybody that knows us, knows we play around like that."

After posting the photos on Facebook, local law enforcement and Children Services responded to her house, believing the little girl might be in danger.

"We would never harm our children. Never," Sheaks told WBNS.

Sheaks and her family says they are now being harassed over the pictures.

"I'm getting all kind of friend requests that we don't know for that reason," Tommy Sheaks, the girl's grandfather, told WBNS.

The child's mother told WBNS that she has no problem with the photos. Jackie Sheaks stated that she won't take prop photos of her granddaughter again.

"It's definitely taught me a lesson," she told WBNS. "What we think is funny, other people don't. It will never happen again. It's definitely taught us a lesson."
