"50 Shades of Grey" has a new cast member
The cast of "50 Shades of Grey" is starting to fill out.
Actor Victor Rasuk, 29, has joined as Jose Rodriguez, a classmate and friend of Anastasia Steele, reports Deadline. In the story, he also becomes somewhat of a romantic rival pitted against Christian Grey.
Rasuk got his start in 2002's "Raising Victor Vargas" and later starred in the 2004 film, "Lords of Dogtown." He also appeared in HBO's "Make It in America" and made several appearances on "ER." Rasuk was seen in the Ashton Kutcher film "Jobs" this year and will star in the upcoming "Godzilla" film.
The casting of "50 Shades of Grey" has been catching a lot of attention with anticipation building over who would portray leads Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Actress Dakota Johnson is on board to play Steele, and actor Jamie Dorman is taking on the role of Grey. He stepped in after Charlie Humman bowed out of the production. Jennifer Ehle will play Carla, Steele's mother.
"50 Shades of Grey" will open in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
