2 charged with hazing in death of Univ. of Albany fraternity pledge

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Two young men have been charged in the death of a 19-year-old New York state university student who drank an excessive amount of alcohol.

University at Albany student Trevor Duffy was found unconscious in a house on Nov. 16 and later died at a hospital. He was from New York City.

Albany police said Wednesday that 20-year-olds Olaf Jablonski and Yuval Sucov were involved in an initiation for an unsanctioned fraternity in which pledges were required to drink large amounts of alcohol.

Jablonski and Sucov were arrested and each charged with one misdemeanor count of hazing. They were arraigned and released on their own recognizance. Their attorneys haven't returned phone messages seeking comment.

Police say there will be more arrests in the case.
