President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama made the day of a 106-year-old woman who recently visited the White House to celebrate black history month.

A video released by the White House late Sunday showed the president greeting Virginia McLaurin in the blue room.

"Oh, it's so nice to see you," said Mr. Obama, who then asked McLaurin if she wanted to meet the first lady.

"Yes!" McLaurin said.

The president said that McLaurin is 106.

"No, you are not," the first lady said to the spry McLaurin. "I wanna be like you when I grow up."

McLaurin then started to dance.

"What's the secret to dancing at 106?" the president asked.

McLaurin said she never thought she would live to visit the White House and exclaimed that she was "so happy" to see a black president and a black first lady in her lifetime.

"I'm here to celebrate black history," she said, adding that the Obamas "made my day."
