Diamond heiress Zeta Graff claimed that Paris Hilton planted an unflattering item in the New York Post in 2005. According to the story, Graff went "berserk" in a London nightclub and tried to strangle Hilton and steal her diamond necklace. Graff sued Hilton for $10 million, but the two settled before it went to trial. Graff dated Paris Latsis before he was engaged to Hilton.
