Palin Plans "Less Politically Correct" Twitter Account

(AP)
Sarah Palin has been able to leverage her Twitter account to keep up a national profile since her failed 2008 vice presidential bid -- and she doesn't plan to let her resignation as governor of Alaska stop her. Palin is promising a new account and "less politically correct" Tweets once she steps down as governor.

Palin's current Twitter handle, AKGovSarahPalin, won't be very fitting for the Republican politician come July 26, when Lt. Governor Sean Parnell will take over for Palin. Subsequently, it appears she is planning to launch a new account.

Just hours ago, Palin tweeted, "I'll stay in touch w/whomever wants via personal twtr site;launch July 26;in meantime it's pleasure to update interested folks on State biz!"

That note followed up on a tweet that seems to promise more Palin headlines in the weeks to come: "elected is replaceable;Ak WILL progress! + side benefit=10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site," she wrote.

Sarah Palin has displayed her Web 2.0 savvy on Twitter, the social networking site that allows users to "tweet" 140-character messages, where she is able to seemingly sidestep "mainstream media" by communicating directly to her "followers" on Twitter -- all the while keeping journalists abreast of her latest moves.

She has indeed addressed many Alaskan issues on her current Twitter account. "I'm asking lawmakers to continue my admin's fuel tax suspension; hard to swallow notion that some want to tax AKn's fuel! Stand by for info," she recently tweeted. Her new account, however, could take her into a whole new realm of national politics.

Tell us what you think Palin's new Twitter handle should be below in the comments.

Are you guys for real? No liberal has ever had their child have a baby out of wedlock? We have much bigger issues at hand here. Obama healthcare. Bailout the big guys. Social Security retreat plans. Give the woman a break. She is capable of more than you think.

Phew. What a bimbo. Glad we dodged that bullet in '08.

How about "Palling around with Palin"?

That could serve many purposes...

1) People do "follow" you on Twitter, that's like being pals.

2) It'd remind both those who support/like Mrs. Palin and those who do not just why they hold these opinions

3) It's alliterative, so easy to remember -- this may be the best part for Palin and her pals

ReallyMeanIt:

Palin is as clueless as you can get! I don't see how the heck she became governor. I guess Alaskans don't expect much from their elected officials, and Palin didn't disappoint them.

Some, like you obviously believe Palin is smart. I guess you went to the same grade school or 6 colleges she did.

I/we believed Palin is smarter than barrack. I/we don't think she is the smartest person the the world.
Asked obama if he visits his 57th states yet. The guy is so clueless. Don't think he even smarter than a 5th grader......at least they know how many states are in the union!!
For your information, my undergrad and grad school took 6 years, 2 different schools........sorry to dissapoint you.

How about abstinenceworks or justsayno? It worked so well for her Track) and her daughter (Tripp), I'm sure she wants to promote everyone saying sex outside of marriage is wrong, but having it anyway. Oh wait, the republican party already has that as a motto.

And, Sarah Palin is merely (along with Joe the Plumber)just the windowdressing.

I think it's funny to suggest that people who do not like Ms. Palin are jealous. Of what, exactly? That she's publically humiliated ever times she opens her mouth and attempts to use the English language to communicate? Her daughter's illigitimate child and embarassment her future ex-son-in-law has cast...? I think what I AM jealous of, is that there are people like you, who will follow her to the ends of the Earth, and support her no matter what, b/c you're too stubborn to consider anything else or look at her objectively.

Some of us just don't like her, period. Here are some fun facts about your "hero":

She was elected to govern alaska. - FACT
She is now quitting/resigning - FACT

I do not care one ounce what her motives were, as there's just no excuse good enough. She fuels the ever-lasting fires that a woman can't handle the job, and answered the question of whether she could ever handle the pressure of the white house.

Are you playing with a fill deck or what?

What I think is funny is people feel entitled to call Sarah Palin stupid when they can't even doublecheck the spelling of their own posts. Let's see YOU stand in front of the nation and sound brilliant (without a teleprompter, please). When you can do it, then you can throw stones. I've been following politics for years. I find it just a bit insulting to be told that I can't look at Sarah Palin objectively. Hmmm. Perhaps it is you that is having trouble with objectivity since you seem to think this one move by Sarah Palin (her resignation) has somehow 'fueled the everlasting fires that a woman can't handle the job.' I think that's a bit of an overstatement considering she went from 'hockey mom' (just like you) to Governor in a short period of time. I'm a woman. I don't think she's hurt my chances at all of succeeding in this world. What does hurt women in this country are people like you who EXPECT women who have made it and are very popular to be someone other than themselves - whether that means they can't misspeak, they can't have language or communication issues, and they can't make life-changing decisions without running it by NOW. Perhaps this is the time to have leadership who are not smooth-talking, polished career politicians. What a nice change that would be - to actually have someone who came from a normal background, with decent values, making the decisions for other normal, decent Americans. Seems they would know what I want more than the smooth-talking career politicans of our current administration and Congress.

It has been learned that Sarah "Moosehunter" Palin will open a "less politically correct" Twitter account.

It has also been rumored that she plans on opening this account together with pron star Stormy Daniels, who it has been discovered, is also aspiring to public office.

It is believed that with Palin sharing her Twitter account, Daniels will be assured of getting the neocon Fascist Nazi Republican vote and the endorsements of such notable "family values" supporters as Gov Mark Sanford of South Carolina, Senator David Vitter, and former NYC mayor Rudy "9/11" Guiliani.

this is about what Sarah Palin represents and her belief system (life, liberty, and the fight against big government). from westtoast......
it's also about killing wild animals from helicopters, using state funds for her own personal use, using the Kenyan vodoo priest Muthee to predict her future and overall having no idea what the he** is going on in the country, much less the world. You people just hate smart people, that's why you hate Obama. Get over it, he's not going anywhere for a long time! Now, go catch up on the Bouncy Jelly Belly Hate Spewer Oxycontin Limpnuts.

You make it so easy for me to make my point. Blah, blah, blah. No substance to your arguments. "You people just hate smart people," tee, hee, hee. Please explain why you think Obama is so smart, or at the minimum, smarter than me. Please.
by westcoast11 July 17, 2009 4:06 PM EDT
"westtoast?" Ouch, that hurt. Gosh, have anymore names you can call me or Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh? I love arguing with "you people," because all you do is resort to insults and name-calling. This is so much fun! I don't even have to use any FACTS, STATISTICS, HISTORICAL DATA, CURRENT POLLS, or BUDGET REPORTS. I just sit back and watch you self-destruct, like a demon being exorcized. (Uh-oh, did I just invite another mean name?)

"So I guess that only the name calling that you do is effective?
Or maybe you are a Sarah Palin supporter because logic defies you as well................. "

Thanks for making my point. All bluster and blather, no substance. I'm not calling anyone a name. I'm logical, involved, politically active for many years, well-respected, trustworthy, smart and educated. I think many who know me would agree I'm also logical. I'm sure that scares you, so be sure to pick out a few good names to call me, too.

Sorry westcoast....

You actually think saying a person with whom you disagree is "simple, envious, fearful, unable to debate the very serious issues the country faces..." and then citing their ..."jealousy and hatred" isn't calling them names?

Then when someone calls you out on the same failure of polite and reasoned debate, you say that person is "all bluster and blather"?

Guess what -- you clearly show the very same characteristics you denounce in others, even though in your boastful description of yourself, you seem unable to admit error or fault.

Please, if you are going to call others out on an issue (as in, name calling) -- be sure you don't clearly embody it. The positive result is that your point may be taken to heart rather than dismissed.
by westcoast11 July 17, 2009 6:23 PM EDT
"Sorry westcoast....

You misread what I wrote. I said they appear to be. There's a difference.
by velma179 July 17, 2009 7:04 PM EDT
Please....

What you said about those with whom you disagree had a clear, easily discernible meaning. A person with elementary reading skills could grasp your opinion of those you addressed in your original and subsequent posts.

The same person could just as easily discern your high regard for your own self.

But let's allow you the pass on "name calling" because you used, "you simply appear [to be]" --

On your terms, please allow me to make an observation:

You simply appear to be someone who feigns some desirable attributes that your own words belie, that is -- clearly demonstrate you do not possess.

Hence, you simply appear to be a hypocrite.

I can't stand it! I have to respond to the 'Palin Haters!' I read these personal attacks against Palin and wonder why I'm wasting time and brain cells on them.

If you truly want us to take your rantings seriously, you have to stop personally berating Palin. All it proves is you have no rational argument against her beliefs and what she represents. All you have left in your bag of tricks are name-calling and mud-slinging.

You simply appear as, well, simple...and envious (very), fearful (yes, fearful), defensive, and unable to debate the very serious issues our country faces. Stop spending your days hating so much and realize it doesn't really matter how Sarah Palin looks, how she speaks or even what she knows (don't try to debate experience with me - i.e., Obama), this is about what Sarah Palin represents and her belief system (life, liberty, and the fight against big government). More Americans agree with her than not. Name-call, make jokes, throw mud, do whatever you want. This is so much bigger than your jealousy and hatred. We'll see you first in 2010, crying in the minority, and then in 2012, when the new non-Dem president is repealing all these massively destructive bills that are currently, QUIETLY being passed...oh, that's right. This adminstration posts ALL bills on the Internet before voting...what was I thinking??!! Grow up. Name-calling as an adult is not an effective way to play the game.

She supports abstinence but has a daughter that has a child out of wedlock AND allowed the father to live with her daughter under her roof, would NOT debate or discuss any issues during her failed VP run (even had the rudeness to tell the moderator that she didn't care what questions were asked, she would talk about what she wanted to), HAD to stay on pre-planned scripts and could not vary, used government funds for family benefit, had shady dealings to have her home built, had a quesionable pregnancy and birth that may have covered an earlier pregnancy by her daughter, used her office to carry out vindictive persecution of others, when she couldn't run as she pleased quit her job, went to various colleges in search of a degree, etc, etc.

People don't list all of her issues because they don't know which ones to pick. Her "values" are a joke, she is an opportunist, egotistical, self-centered, narrow minded, shallow, one dimensional person.

And people such as yourself who say she represents your values are actually more sad than she is.
by westcoast11 July 17, 2009 4:53 PM EDT
Gosh, you guys are really hateful. I think you may have missed a couple Lib talking points in your post. Let's see...you say -

"She supports abstinence but has a daughter that has a child out of wedlock AND allowed the father to live with her daughter under her roof,"

That NEVER happens in America. Geez, Sarah. Lock your daughter up, will you?

"would NOT debate or discuss any issues during her failed VP run"

Have you listened to Obama's town hall meetings, press conferences, etc.? Obviously not, or you wouldn't accuse Sarah Palin of doing exactly what Obama does when he doesn't want to answer a question.

"HAD to stay on pre-planned scripts and could not vary"

Can anyone say, "TELEPROMPTER?"

"used government funds for family benefit, had shady dealings to have her home built,"

Okay, you're making this too easy. Obama just had Michelle and the kids flown over to Europe for a couple days of fun. On our dime. "Our president and his family went to Europe, and all I got was this stupid bill." Oh, yeah, and the girls took the 757 from Paris to London for a girls' shopping day. Also, have you heard about the Rezko situation with Obama's house? Perhaps you should Google it.

"had a quesionable pregnancy and birth that may have covered an earlier pregnancy by her daughter,"

Are you serious!!??!!

"used her office to carry out vindictive persecution of others,"

Have you heard about the 95% tax on the executive bonuses that Obama and his Congress put into place? This is the ULTIMATE tyrannical act.

"when she couldn't run as she pleased quit her job, went to various colleges in search of a degree, etc."

How exactly did she want to "run," since she couldn't do it as she pleased? Also, where did you get your facts about various colleges. This isn't mainstream media news, so I doubt it's true, or we'd be hearing about it on David Letterman.

"People don't list all of her issues because they don't know which ones to pick."

I wasn't talking about HER issues...I was talking about the country's issues. That's kind of funny that you were confused about that. Sounds like you're just a little mired in Sarah-hating.

"Her "values" are a joke, she is an opportunist, egotistical, self-centered, narrow minded, shallow, one dimensional person."

And...you know this how...? Please, I'm open-minded. Fill me in! I'm waiting for someone to give me more than mean names and insults. Please.

"And people such as yourself who say she represents your values are actually more sad than she is."

And the Grand Finale! You have nothing left to say, so you might as well insult me.

On second thought, I suppose someone could think I was calling them those things. So to avoid confusion, I'll be sure to make myself more clear. Perhaps I should just be confrontational and angry and call people, "simple-minded, jealous, stupid sissies." Would that have been the more honest way to write it, in your opinion, so as not to appear hypocritical? What someone says can appear "stupid" without my thinking those people are actually simple-minded, stupid sissies, because I don't believe they are. If you read the posts I responded to, they were disparaging and disrespectful in my opinion, lacking substance and credible argument. There appears to be a formula to these types of posts...disparage Sarah Palin, then disparage the writer. I'm sick and tired of being called, "brainless, lacking integrity, and now hypocritical," simply because I support a person who someone else dislikes. This was the first time I've spoken out on any forum about this, but I'VE HAD IT with the angry, hateful things people write. So personal and so terribly insulting. Perhaps, then, I should've said, "Okay, at least give me some substance with the blather, bluster and name-calling." Would that meet with your approval?
******
By the way, my bluster and blather comment was made to this comment:

"So I guess that only the name calling that you do is effective?
Or maybe you are a Sarah Palin supporter because logic defies you as well................. "

As you can see, this comment was FULL of substance, and of course, the standard personal insult at the end.

Love your comment, "high regard for your own self." You don't know me or what I believe or what I do with my life. I'm trying not to be insulted by it, really I am, but you couldn't be more wrong. I'M JUST OVER TAKING A BEATING FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE ONE SOLE PURPOSE IN THEIR LIFE RIGHT NOW -- TO BEAT DOWN SARAH PALIN. I'M OVER IT. SO OVER IT. SO, if I caged my comments to retain some tiny modicum of respect for another person, then I certainly take it all back. Next time, at least I won't be hypocritical.
