The president on Thursday met with executives from a handful of businesses, nearly all of which help other companies save money through energy efficiencies.
"Energy is one of the pillars of this new (economic) foundation," Mr. Obama said after the meeting. "Even as we face tough economic times, the CEO's here told me they're looking to hire new people. In some cases, even double or triple over the next few years. These companies are the vivid example of some kind of future we can create."
Mr. Obama was about to end his brief remarks when he felt compelled to return to the podium to sing the virtues of energy-efficient construction. He ran through a list of ways to save money with new innovations: "Everything from LED lighting that can save a huge amount on energy costs, to new concrete materials that last longer... that are water-proofed from the inside out..."
The nation, he said, has not done enough to create a clean energy economy.
"What these folks are all about is the future," Mr. Obama said, referring to the executives.
And just as he said his push for new light bulb standards will start at the White House, the president said he would make use of his guests' talents at the White House.
He said he was "just talking to (Energy) Secretary Chu about how he is going to consult with these outstanding folks to figure out how we can improve energy efficiency here."
Earlier today, new government reports showed that 467,000 jobs were lost in June, which is more than what was expected. The unemployment rate was tagged at 9.5 percent, a 26-year high.
The president said today he is "confident we're not only going to recover but we're going to prosper in the long term."

- I see the talking points from everyone, Van Jones one of the White House energy czars, Jarad Bernstein the V.P.'s economist (spinmeister) this morning on Bloomberg, now Obama on on the same "green job's" talking points. Well, I'm sure this rhetoric will make Jeff Immelt happy as the chairman of G.E. and on the Presidents Economic team(no conflict there!!) , it won't do much for economic growth. The unread stimulus package may offer green shoots to the sycophants,but most legitimate economists saw this as a spending bill not a stimulus bill. Soon, this administration will be requesting a second "stimulus" bill, I only hope the media does it's job this time and allows the American people to understand the incredible damage being done by Obama and this grand experiment.

- "Grand experiment" shares the word "Grand" with GOD ALMIGHTY's "GRAND" UNIFIED THEOREM (GAGUT). "Grand experiment" can be risky if the ideas and concepts behind the experiment are weak and unreliable. The same logic can be used to conclude that GAGUT can be a risk if it is not proven. The renewable energy concepts like the solar energy technologies have been proven already on the market. GAGUT has similarly been proven to be perfectly correct. The renewable energy experiment by the US government is therefore reasonably safe. Human systems tend to be afraid of change in general. That appears to be the basis of the oppositions to GAGUT and the renewable energy concepts.

- I am very delighted and also further reassured to see that after one full week of the OFAPPIT Institute of Technology offering a prize of one thousand dollars to any human being that can dispute GAGUT, no one has posted even an attempt at disproving the GAGUT discovery so far

However The Royal Society along with Sir Isaac Newton were celebrated eventually when Newton's discoveries were understood to be correct. Michael Faraday and James Maxwell had a similar experience like Newton during their discovery of electromagnetism. They were also celebrated eventually, when the public at large began understanding electromagnetism. One can cite many similar examples of challenges encountered by institutions like the Royal Society during the process of introducing revolutionary ideas and discoveries into the classrooms and society at large. GAGUT has unified the discoveries of Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, Gauss, Einstein and others, and therefore has to be righteous and correct on the basis of the righteousness and correctness of the discoveries of Newton, Faraday, Maxwell, Gauss, Einstein and others.
