Sarah Palin Shares her Running Secrets

Alaska governor and former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin might be saving her best stuff for her forthcoming book, but she opened up to "Runner's World" magazine.

She grew up in a family of runners, she said, and runs even when Alaska's temperatures are 20 or 30 below zero. When she listens to music, she plays old Van Halen and AC/DC.

"I have a nice routine: I kick off my runs with the old Van Halen and AC/DC, then I get into my country music, then I always wrap it up with a couple mellow Amy Grant songs," Palin said.

She talked about a memorable run during the campaign:

"I like running alone and having the Secret Service with me added a little bit of pressure. I'm thinking I gotta have good form and can't be hyperventilating and can't be showing too much pain and that adds a little more pressure on you as you're trying to be out there enjoying your run. Then I fell coming down a hill and was so stinkin' embarrassed that a golf cart full of Secret Service guys had to pull up beside me. My hands just got torn up and I was dripping blood. In the debate you could see a big fat ugly Band-Aid on my right hand. I have a nice war wound now as a reminder of that fall in the palm of my right hand. For much of the campaign, shaking hands was a little bit painful."

While Sarah Palin is off "Running", Governoring(sometimes), talking (a lot) to the Media, and SHOPPING!

You call yourself a moderate but join in on the liberal left irrational bashing of Sarah Palin. I think you give yourself too much credit calling yourself a moderte or you don't understand what moderate is.

Actually I don't think you know what a liberal or moderate is...other than 'demonizing' anybody who doesn't agree with your conservative views (and I believe you are conservative by the way you're attacking liberals..and, now, moderates).

If you truly understand what a moderate is, you'd understand that a moderate doesn't have to totally disagree or agree with your conservative views, liberal views, and, even, libertarian views. I would venture to say a true moderate is for more common sense views, not the selfish miser-type views the Republican party has spouted for the past 30+ years.

As far as attacking Palin, I really couldn't care less about her. I've listened to her speeches, and I hear more nonsense than anything else from her, in my view. She is a person that I'd rather not hear about or know, and wish she would be excluded from the public limelight. I'm tired of hearing about her opinions, pronoucements on issues that aren't relevant to the moment, especially since she is in no position to do anything except shoot her mouth off.

However, your so-called 'liberal' media (most common sense people know the media has been anti-liberal for years) keeps shoving her, Cheney, Bush, Limbaugh, and Hannity in my face. I can't go anywhere without hearing one of you 'dittoheads' babbling some stupid quote of the day from these people. I resent it!

By the way, why do you have credibility when you insult people, but nobody that insults you don't? Answer - You don't have credibility and you deserve the insults, ones you have placed on other people for all these years, back at you.

There's nothing irrational about it. She was not only a national joke, but she was dangerous, being justone heartbeat away. If she wasn't hot, she would have no defenders.

The rest of us know, unfortunately, that the media hasn't been liberal for at least 20 years now. But then again, we wouldn't expect freedom of the press from any of the 3 neo-conservative companies that own the media would we?

As for Palin, I'm positive she doesn't live on planet Earth.

When you say things like that you lose all credability. The State Run media loves the left. PMSNBC CBS ABC and CNN are all in the tank for Obama.

As for what Palin said, its true, Obama smoke a pack a day and is blowing lines in the white house bathroom. Palin would run circles around him.

Fortunately, most of us read ALL the stories about Obama, including the negative and critical ones. We don't conveniently avoid the stories that don't fit our agenda, like the neocons do. But what would a neocon do without an excuse for their failures?

Jedi08-49 I too am a moderate in fact I lean a little conservative I am a gun owner and believe in my right to bear arms. I don't have a problem insulting a Republican because they are not conservative nor do they even have any middle of the road or moderate.

THEY ARE REACTIONARY in fact that is why they are a sinking ship. You will only find true conservatives in the Democrats and the indi's no longer are the Republicans conservatives they are reactionary.

That is why in 2010 you will see another blood bath for the reactionary party of America they just don't have the appeal.
