Day 18: Obama Pushes Hard On Stimulus

(AP Photo/Ron Edmonds)
On his eighteenth day in office, President Obama named an economic advisory board to give him advice "from beyond the Washington echo chamber."

He continued ratcheting up the rhetoric on the importance of passing his stimulus package, warning that a delay is "inexcusable and irresponsible."

And he and the First Lady made time for a date.

Watch CBS Evening News reporting on the president's day below, including the news late Friday that a tentative deal on the stimulus plan has been reached in the Senate.

If everyone in America would stop shopping at "ChinaMart" and start looking at labels on *everything* food(mangoes,Oranges grapes) Clothes and Tech BUY_ MADE IN AMERICA_ our country might rebound. Hire legal Americans, there are people so anxious to work, they might go in the fields. My Jeans are made in Israel, that is Ok they are not Terrorists, we don''t owe them , they owe us. We buy from People we already owe or from people that cheer when our 911 Buildings go down is stupid and UnAmerican.
Obama needs to give American people cash and not Banks.. Banks get plenty from good loans and investments and people who are trying to save(2%int.) for their children to pay off this deficit that we stuck them with.

Republicans want for Americans to fail and to remain broke and desperate.

Meanwhile, they also wish to continue diverting our national wealth to the top 1% without paying any taxes.
