DHS: No Credible Threat Information Targeting Inauguration

(AP Photo/Susan Walsh)
The Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies have released a bulletin reminding local law enforcement (as if it wasn't already crystal clear) that the inauguration could present an enticing target for potential terrorists.

But the bulletin states that there is currently no credible threat information related to the Jan. 20 event.

The DHS has no plans to adjust any of the national threat levels but is reminding the public to remain vigilant.

The Secret Service also announced on Wednesday that bridges connecting Northern Virginia to Washington, D.C., will be closed to most traffic on Inauguration Day and a 3.5 square miles corridor of the nation's capital will be shut off starting on Jan. 19, the day before the Inauguration. The security perimeter is larger than what has been cordoned off for previous inaugurations.

Estimates have varied over the last few weeks, but officials expect two to three million people to cram into Washington to witness Barack Obama taking the oath of office.

There isn''t enough money in the world to entice me to sit in the freezing cold and watch some half-white guy get sworn in.

As much as the media drones on about preparations, do you really think those who wish to harm us will "chatter" about it?

Just hearing that schools might shut down for it is insane. Like the kids are going to say, "Oh thank you! Now I can get a group of friends together and watch the inauguration!" Um, keep them in school and have an assembly, show it live. USE SOME COMMON SENSE. Duh.

gee, libs, there is no terrorism, there is no terroist threat. Isn''t that what you people have been saying since 9/11?? Why, I really wonder how many of you libs even remember 9/11. Few media outlets run images of the twin towers coming down. It''s the usual msm ploy, out of sight, out of mind.
And besides, isn''t the entire world in love with your chosen one.
I also understand his choice of CIA exec has plans to totally dismantle the agencies. Why, he''ll probably bring ole jamie gorelick and her plywood and nailgun to put those walls back up.
I love the wailing and moaning from the left. It''s beautiful.
rusure5-about your slam on DHS,how many attacks have we had since 9/11 on our soil? How many??
LEt your chosen one do what he wants and let''s see how long we can say that. Your man child potus will see what it''s like to play in the real world. Chicago politics may not help hm.

for election fraud in Ohio, his wife Heather will be prosecuted for supposed lobby law violations. This appears to be in response to our designation of Rove as the principal perpetrator in the Ohio Corrupt Practices Act/RICO claim with respect to which we issued document hold notices last Thursday to you and to the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform. See: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=6189 and http://www.archive.org/details/ElectionFraudInOhioCourtCase. I have informed court chambers and am in the process of informing the Ohio Attorney General''s and US Attorney''s offices in Columbus for the purpose, among other things, of seeking protection for Mr. Connell and his family from this reported attempt to intimidate a witness. Concurrently herewith, I am informing Mr. Conyers and Mr. Kucinich in connection with their Congressional oversight responsibilities related to these matters. Because of the serious engagement in this matter that began in 2000 of the Ohio Statehouse Press Corps, 60 Minutes, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, C-Span and Jim VandeHei, and the public''s right to know of gross attempts to subvert the rule of law, I am forwarding this information to them, as well. Mike Connell was the one man who could BUSH in prison for life people do your homework.

Mike Connell set-up the alternate email and communications system for the White House. He was responsible for creating the system that hosted the infamous GWB43.com accounts

A QUICK RECAP

They said the same pre 911 / post 911 there is NO THREAT ... morons

Let me update everyone:

Hillary Clinton made statements to staffers she quote "wanted Obama assasinated so she could be Next President how she planned to do it was as follows:

If Obama picked her as Vice President she would then assasinate him in order to be the next President of United States of America.

JUST FACTS.

Obama make a grave error in choosing her as Secretary of State in the same like manner Picking MAFIA Leon Panneta (sp) was a grave error.

"I don''t worry about the security of the PE or POTUS. I do worry about the safety of the people trying to attend it. I don''t know how people can get to it when it is blocked off and go through scanners. Next it will be body cavity searches. This is no celebration. This is a nightmare. Don''t wear a headscarf. Don''t ask where is the best place to see the motorcade. Watch your mouth, stay sober. Watch and shut up. Don''t move, just stand still. The American Citizen is in danger there. Anything you say or do can be held against you and can get you killed."

The only kind of terrorist I worry about at the inauguration is self-righteous religious bigots. Any time people throw the word "God" around, someone''s about to get hurt.

I''m not for outlawing religion, I just urge caution. God''s people are all around us, and they want to kill people.

Now that is what I call real timely information. Yes siree. If these people had not told me I would never have imagined that there might be some sort of threat to the people taking part in this ceremony. And we paid good tax dollars for this warning.

I thought that was pretty much standard procedure since 9/11. Don''t do or say anything that could make you a potential target.
