Mele Kalikimaka Is Obamas' Way

This post was written by CBS News' Jamie Farnsworth, who is traveling with the president-elect on his Hawaii vacation.

HONOLULU, Hawaii — Christmas Day arrived for President-elect Barack Obama and family far from the cold and snow of Chicago. Here in Hawaii, the temperature is consistently in the high 70s and sunny.

The president-elect spent Christmas Eve golfing with friend Dr. Eric Whitaker and staffer Eugene Kang, along with local friends.

In the morning, he started the day like every other in Hawaii — with a workout at a nearby military base.

Christmas Day will be spent opening presents with Michelle, Sasha, and Malia. Dinner will be traditional holiday fare, complete with turkey and ham. At various times, the future first family will be joined by their friends the Whitakers and the Nesbitts.

There is no church appearance planned.

speciality-the libs aren''t answering our posts because they are all at the evening koolaid vat. As for the chosen one being ''intelligient", I agree with you. What has he ever done other than read speeches written by others, nothing? Ever hear him when he has to answer a real question??/ UM, HUH, UH, stammer, stammer.

I heard a man at the barber shop this morning say, "Obama will only be in office 4 years. Said he was 82 and had never heard of a black man holding a job over 4 years.

irmcvet-re-read your post of 11:28 today. That post could have been written by a conservative just after the Bush election and the dems came out swinging. Really, re-read it carefully and tell me that''s not the truth. What I''m getting at is, with all the angst and hate that is flung between the left and right is downright destroying us. Now, you''ll most probably say it''s all the right''s fault, that''s just impossible for it to be one sided. I''m no pollyanna peacemaker, I''m just speaking my mind (which I think we can still do for awhile longer).
The chosen one will face criticism and YOU''LL have to deal with it.
And before you start with the " Bush follower", not the case. I''m a conservative and know your guy is a flaming liberal. Therefore, I will criticize him. Grow a tougher skin. No caged animal here just a "typical white woman".

One thing has become painfully clear to me during the last couple of months. There are people out there who are like caged animals ready to spring into attack. Also, just as clear is that we have a VERY INTELLIGENT Young Leader who knows them better than they know themselves!! LOL I just can''''t understand them though! It''''s like IF America can''''t endure on THEIR terms then it''''s not supposed to be. Garbage!! We will dig our way out of this and we WILL change the direction of the Country in doing so.

Say, maybe you could join and shut the conservatives up. Think about it, they have real neat brown shirts and jack boots.

You do realize where people like you and all that side with you are headed? IF you have the education to READ a History Book, go look up the HISTORY of Conservative Movements... THEY''VE all been TOTAL FAILURES you know... Anyway, look them up and you will find out why NO ONE refers to them when talking about how to get us OUT of the messes you losers ALWAYS get us in!! I wish people would give President Obama some breathing room for Christmas. He will soon enough have the weight of the United States on his shoulders. We need this fine man to take over from the most incompetent bunch of crooks. I want Obama to have this time in Hawaii to chill.

LOL So you think we should have stuck with "Trickle Down" and hoped the slide into the Third World would have corrected itself? IF and right now that is a VERY BIG IF, you have the education to do a little research you will find that not only has TRICKLE DOWN FAILED... AGAIN! The isn''t ONE MONTH when this nation was under the Stupid Republican Economic Plan that we WERE NOT IN THE RED!! Just how MUCH failure are you freaks willing to endure??
