More Comedy Stylings from Joe Biden

(CBS)
From CBS News' Ryan Corsaro:

(DANVILLE, VA.) - Weeks ago when Joe Biden geared up for his debate with Sarah Palin by downplaying expectations for his performance, one of the things he said over and over was how he couldn't come up with zingers like Sarah Palin could.

(And I guess we we're supposed to believe that the top Democratic speechwriters in the country couldn't come up with them for him either.)

WRONG!

Just listen to Biden on fire at a rally today in Danville, Virginia that had the crowd rolling. Clocking in at sixteen minutes, extremely short for the long-winded Biden, the brevity of his speech was also the soul of its wit.

HOLY JACK-O-LANTERNS, BATMAN!

"I know Halloween's coming. I know it's coming. But this takes change, the notion of change, to the extreme. I mean, look this change costume is one that the American people are not going to buy on John McCain's body, ladies and gentlemen. I never saw a guy run so far so fast from a sitting president in my whole life!"

ZING!

"George Bush I’m told came out today, voted early, and said he voted for John McCain. I guess that’s called returning the favor, I don’t know."

BOOM!

"I love it when John McCain and his running-mate, Governor Palin, stand there on stage together, 'Hey Maverick. Hey Maverick. We’re both mavericks, right? It’s the maverick thing.' "

KA-POW!

Hey, even his buddy Bob Casey throws a line his way!

"A senator friend of mine from my hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania where I was born, a guy named Bob Casey, the Democratic senator, you know what he said? And I’m paraphrasing. He said you can’t call yourself a maverick when all you’ve been the last eight years is a sidekick!"

SLAM!

"You know, in the last debate, in the last debate, John McCain felt the need to declare he was not President Bush. And just yesterday, John McCain actually went so far as to compare Barack Obama to George Bush. Now as my 10-year-old granddaughter Finnegan says, 'Hello?'"

HELLO!

Of course cbs reports on this, but did they report on all the stupid things Biden said, no. Why because the media is so biased and is not giving us the unedited version on anything. They really need to start being unbiased and giving us the truth on ALL candidates. I am sick of the biased nature of this election. We need to get the truth so we don''t get blindsided the next 4 years.

Mr. Corsaro: Go home and write a book. Pretend like CBS and whatever other outlets have already laid you off. You''ve probably made so much money already, you could live on it for the rest of your life. When was the last time you wrote about serious issues such as money, the environment, America''s image with the rest of the world? Try being an environmentalist for 25 years and watching as your favorite planet shoots craps. You don''t think like the Common Man and I''m not sure you ever did.

But they do NOT stir any fear or hatred now do they! So you do what fascist always do... YOU invent things to scare people because that''s all you have... FEAR!!

Mr. Corsaro: Why don''t you just PRETEND that you have already been laid off by CBS and whatever other outlets you write for, and go home and write a book? I''m sure you''ve made so much money already (well I''m sure I could live out the rest of my life on what you''ve made--maybe not YOU), it''s immaterial whether it even gets published although you''ve got "the name" to see it into print. Money is probably no issue for you. But money, and the survival of the planet, and how we restore the image of America in the eyes of the rest of the world--when''s the last time you wrote about them three topics, Mr. Corsaro? Hmmm?

I have an idea that money is no issue for you, and yet it is for so many of the rest of us. Money, and the survival of the planet, and how we restore the image of America in the eyes of the rest of the world. When''s the last time you wrote about them three topics, Mr. Corsaro? Hmmm?

Joe''s the BEST! I''ve been in his camp since this time last year!

I''m just sorry that all they usually report on are the "gaffes". They use the term pretty loosely, so it may mean something that came out garbled, or it may mean a truth that supposedly shouldn''t have been uttered.

They rarely cover the substantial things he says, but prefer to lump those all together as reference to him talking too much. You just can''t make some people happy it seems.

haha he cracks me up, I love Joe Biden. I must say, he totally caught me off guard as vice president candidate, what a great spirit he has and I admire the honesty in his character.

There must be something seriously wrong with you if you''d prefer Palin over Biden.
