McCain Ready To Pounce On Biden’s Testing Comments

John McCain is preparing to take advantage of comments made by Joe Biden over the weekend when he warned donors at a Washington state fundraiser that the world won’t wait long to “test” Barack Obama.

“The world is looking,” Biden said, according to reports. “We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. … As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate. And he’s gonna need help."

In prepared remarks released by the McCain campaign, the Republican nominee will use those comments in his rally this afternoon in Belton, Missouri. “The next President won’t have time to get used to the office,” McCain will say according to the prepared remarks. “We face many challenges here at home, and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world. Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President. We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars. What is more troubling is that Senator Biden told their campaign donors that when that crisis hits, they would have to stand with them because it wouldn't be apparent Senator Obama would have the right response. Forget apparent. Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign.”

To put it short and sweet......Obama will be tested and this has been leaked even before this. They are sitting back and waiting and with no experience Obama is their man in office. The last attack they planned on us was planned while the President was under the desk doing his intern and putting stains on her blue dress. Yes, America will be attacked within 6 months should Obama become president and I do not doubt that!

Ohioboomer....wrong I have a lot to say and it limits your words.....you know how that is since Obama limits his words when asked about his past and his crooked ties. As far as all you people worry about Sarah Palin you have got to be kidding. Mrs. Palin ran a State and Government! Obama is a Community Leader. Mr. McCain has about the same chance of dying with a 92 year old mom then Obama has of dying of a heart attack or one of the death treats his camp keeps getting. Please lets not say one might die over another. None of us know when our number is up! Stop your worries about Palin in office should McCain die she would be a better leader then Obama and think about if Obama died...Oh Lord, Biden as VP.....the slip of the tongue man who needs anger management classes. Yes, the other countries would love him!

Dragonfly125, Mr Obama will be tested BUT do you realize the amount of international support he will have? Mr. Bush has damaged the USA international reputation so badly, that these other leaders are rooting for the one who could move these relations back to more cordial terms. Mr. McCain is expereienced (much more than the others) but I''m sorry, call me an ageist, but that Palin woman is nowhere near qualified as far as intellect to be near the oval office. Given, Mr. McCain''s age--I can''t bring myself to chance it. Oddly enough, I have not seen a liberal media (IMHO). What I have seen is an overly conservative one provided by Fox News! Look, I''m one of the ones that the attack dog method did not work for. I wanted to hear more of the issues instead of the attacking. In my opinion, Mr. McCain has run an AWFUL campaign (or handlers) and has lost control of his message.

Biden tells us all on Sunday that
Obama will be tested and for sure
there will be an international crisis.
Without any experience , this is not the time for on the job training.
Each voter has to do their own homework as the Democratic campagin has been littered with lies. McCain didn''t vote 19 times not to raise the minimum wage.
Check the facts, the experience,
and do not be part of the herd
that follows the media bias which
has been the worst since i have
ever seen. Is it because Obama
is black that the media is afraid
to be unbiased?

I am absolutely amazed by some of the fake postings and other material surrounding this campaign! It is not about winning but about electing someone who will do well to repair our country. Hey, I like Bush (still do and voted for him twice)but on his watch this country has developed some very serious problems of which McCain has yet to really address. Let''s see, I have heard more about Ayers, Wright, Voter Fraud, Socialism than I have heard about McCain''s plans of governing. He is now reduced to defending his campaign tactics, his health, and "that" incompetant woman! Now, if you believe that Obama will be tested in 6 months (I do believe that''s a possibility) then you have to believe that there is a real possibility that Mr. McCain can die in office (although I hope he lives to be 96) and that woman would become our president. This is absolutely frightening and has casued my hair to gray! I STILL cannot get the rationale of this choice (he should have chosen Romney or even Leiberman) This woman and her intellect could have us in another war in no time!

This is hugh news that is important to our national security - it should not be buried and hidden.

I hope CBS understands what it may be doing to our national security to protect Obama

As an Obama supporter, I have to throw my vote to McCain. No sooner are my spirits lifted by Colin Powell, along comes Joe Biden telling us Obama supporters that we need to "gird our loins" and stand behind Obama for the first six months of his presidency because he will be tested. Worse, the collective "we" (Obama supporters? Acorn?) will appear to be in the wrong.

I''m sorry, but I have a wife and family of small chilren I care about. I was all for Obama, but when Joe Biden is that frightening and reckless as a VP nominee, the choice for a new commander-in-chief becomes remarkably easy for this former Obama supporter!

bb and kight Palin beats Biden hands down. He has chronic problem with foot in mouth disease. He says what he''s thinking before he thinks about it. With him on the ticket, chosen by Obama, it is now confirmed that I don''t know what to expect and question the judgment of each of them so my vote goes to McCain & Palin.
kight, great work too bad some people just aren''t able to deal with reality.

Ramble ramble ramble.....
The last poster had to post 5 times to get her point across? Sounds like a McCain-ite to me! I guess when you don''t know what to do, instead of waiting and THINKING about options, you just do anything----like run back and forth, run your mouth, run whatever. Sad times we live in with people like this trying to run our country and those supporting them.

Obama is a spender and he was one of the top 3 U.S. Senators who contributed to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. People do you follow the election or what all the OBAMA commercials he PAYS MONEY FOR! How about if he takes that money and builds some hud homes for people that would be doing good. I am so tired of his spending, spending and lies! This man is a threat to America. We WILL be attacked should he get in as Biden said "Mark my Words"!

doctor--cool...you are wrong. They create jobs! These large companies and small businesses are our salvation. Get real! Do you know what happens when you place large taxes on them and small business. They cut jobs, benefits and raise prices to pay for them. Is that going to help the economy grow. Sorry but this is how American has always been! Stop with the rich get richer.....these rich companies are the ones that offer us jobs and keep our economy going. Go ahead and tax away and watch what happens. The middle class and poor will have their tax break but what good is it if they are in the unemployment line?

mrs_r...You sing the same song I am singing but people want an escape goat to blame! We had a great economy and safe country while Bush was in office. The Dems took over 2 years ago & the slide began. Talking about safe country, Senator Biden made the comment "Mark my words within 6 months Barak Obama''s medal will be tested" He spoke of several threats which could be the Middle East or Russia. These countries love hearing that Americans may place an unexperienced President in office. I guarantee they test McCain with his military experience and knowledge of what has been going on. Obama is a threat to our country. The other night while watching TV it was said that both McCain and Obama were being briefed by the head of security. I thought "that is strange doing that now and with both of them" Then Obama woes Powell over to his side to show that he has someone with some military experience (Powell made it clear that he will not campaign for Obama). Now..Biden''s comments...They know something & the threat was made against OBAMA! I will not put my family or kids in danger with a President like Obama. You want to speak of Sarah Palin not being qualified. THis lady ran a state and a government & is only running as VP. OBAMA has ran nothing and you think he is ok for President? He was a community leader in Chicago. He never lead a state or Government! Vote for our COUNTRY FIRST! Keep or children safe. We can''t handle another 911!

McCain''s attacks are a portrait in hypocrisy. In each case "he is "guilty" of supporting some version of the policies he''s attacking:

1. He attacks Obama for increasing "welfare" by providing refundable tax credits--that is giving people the cash equivalent if they don''t pay enough in income taxes to reap the full benefit of the credit--but McCain''s own $5000 health insurance credit is also refundable.

2. He attacks Obama for spreading "socialism," but McCain supported the bailout that enabled the Bush Administration to partially nationalize the banking system last week. If that ain''t a (very mild) form of socialism, I don''t know what is.

3. He attacks Obama''s tax plan as a form of "spreading the wealth"--the words Obama used when talking to Joe the Unlicensed Tax Dodger in Ohio--because Obama would reduce taxes on the middle class and pay for it by restoring Clinton-era marginal tax rates on the wealthy. And yet, McCain proudly voted for a major tax hike and wealth redistribution scheme in his early days in his early days in Congress."

1.CONSUMER CONFIDENCE PLUMMETED
2.GASOLINE SHOT OVER $4.00
3.UNEMPLOYMENT IS OVER 5%
4.HOME EQUITIES DROP BY 12 TRILLION
5.OVER 1% OF HOMES IN FORECLOSURE
6.THE DOW DROPPED 5,000 PTS. $2.5 TRILLION EVAPORATED.
CHECK THESE FACTS YOURSELF, WALLETPOP.COM THE DEMS HAVE DONE NOTHING IN CONGRESS, EVEN YOUR MAN OBAMA VOTED "PRESENT" 94 TIMES WHILE WE LET THEM!!! WAKE-UP AMERICA THIS IS YOUR COUNTRY. HOW MUCH MORE DO YOU WANT? I''M NOT READY FOR RE-DISTRIBUTION OF WHAT I HAVE LEFT, ARE YOU?

Poor McCain. He''s reduced to looking for any slightly unusual pronouncement from the other camp to try and twist it to make a point. He still hasn''t realized that, while it whips up his own partisan crowd, no one else -- not Democrats, not Indepdendents, not undecided voters -- ever buy it.

But I guess Karl Rove must be telling him, One of these may connect. Rove may be evil, but he''s not an idiot. So maybe it works that way.

But two more weeks of this, and Palin can return to obscurity and McCain can return to his Metamucil and his Polident.

You really think McCain is on YOUR side???

He "continues to argue that large tax cuts for the wealthiest households are the most reliable way to stimulate growth. You know what does happen when you cut rich people''s taxes? They get richer.

Last week, John McCain released his economic plan to "help" folks battered by the recession. The plan included a cut in the capital gains tax by half (from an already too low 15% to 7.5%).

Th type of income, such as the profits from selling appreciated assets like stocks, is SO CONCENTRATED among the wealthiest families, that only 0.2 percent, or $4.00, of the gains from this cut will reach middle-income folks. Yet smack in the middle of the worst financial crisis since the Depression, this is what a presidential candidate comes up with."
