Palin Calls In To Chat With Rush

“Dittos from Scanton,” is how Alaska Governor Sarah Palin kicked off her telephone interview on the Rush Limbaugh radio show this afternoon as she called in before a scheduled rally in Pennsylvania. Palin’s cell phone cut out on occasion and at one point dropped out altogether but she called back to conclude her chat with the very effusive radio host who has been one of her biggest supporters since she was chosen by John McCain to be his running mate.

Palin discussed the voter registration controversies surround ACORN, media treatment and her aggressiveness on the campaign trail. Here’s a snippet from Palin from that part of the conversation:

“I’ve got nothing to lose in this and America has everything to gain by understanding the differences, the contrasts here, between Obama and McCain. So, I’m going out there and simply speaking. So be it that I’m a simple talker, but I’m just going out there and letting people know the differences and how absolutely paramount it is that voters are paying attention and that voters are understanding candidates’ records, their associations, their plans for the future instead of being kind of wrapped up into all this rhetoric of Obama’s and buying into it and not holding him accountable for the things that he’s done, for the things that he’s said, his associates and where he wants to take America.”

no, obama hasn''t been investigated in full. if he had the ayers issues would have come out months ago.
i''ve known about it because i listen to a wide variety of media outlets, includng talk radio and internet research.
and what about the Birth Certificate he''s yet to furnish?
And no one has any information on his doings while at columbia.
and where do you think he got all his money from?
the man has been trained for this position since childhood, and not by anyone on the side of the US.
you may need to research more before voting.

"Scanton"?

Did the little airhead mean "Scranton"?

I suppose it is too much to expect from her.

PALIN LIES TO AMERICA WITH A STRAIGHT FACE

Americans are sick of politicians that simply LIE when they are confronted with their wrongdoing.

The Palin report said she BROKE THE ethics LAW. It is PLAIN WORDING. Palin says the report did NOT say what the PLAIN WORDS SAID? There is a word for that - a LIE.

This is the problem we''ve had for 8 years of REPUBLICAN RULE. Cheney and Bush wouuld do EXACTLY THE SAME THING- claim the facts were really something else, even when confronted with the facts.

There is no such thing as "my truth". The words are clear. Truth is not something Palin gets to MAKE UP.

Aren''t Americans sick of this cr*p?

Palin has no right to ask if we really know Obama. His record has already been subjected to intense scrutiny by the electorate, by Clinton as well as by McCain for nearly two years. Palin, on the other hand, is a complete neophyte who burst onto the national scene a mere six weeks ago. Her enthusiastic reception by social conservatives and less educated Republicans is alarming in light of her lack of preparation for national office. Her meteoric rise to fame marks the abandonment of political process for celebrity worship. Here is a woman whose pregnant teenage daughter is about to marry a foul-mouthed drug user while Palin is held up as an all-American mom, whose secessionist husband joined her in abuse of official power while she is held up as a paragon of patriotism, whose ignorance of history and law is looked upon as irrelevant and refreshing. How can this suspension of disbelief last longer than the length of a bad movie? Whether or not her candidacy is successful we must ask how this pretender has been promoted so effectively by the cynical McCain campaign managers. The future of this nation is at stake and too many of our fellow citizens cannot see the danger in her potential rise to the highest office in the land. It is truly frightening.

Republicans have lost all hopes on Sarah Palin. The only good thing she did for McCain was get the base energized in the convention (then re-energized after her debate, wonder how many times they need to be energized).

They know they cannot bring her in front of other news channels like CNN, CBS, NBC etc.. and going on Fox and Rush will not help them get any extra vote.

McCain must be be wishing only if he could turn back the time and pick Romney.

Palin can rage against the machine but rather than the "force" she has the "false" with her. Her smear tactics and out right lies have turned republican rallies into Klan meetings. So she called into Limbaugh''s show, like he''s not licking his lips over the prospect of a Barbie doll VP. The whole campaign is sickening.

Vote for John McCain, he respects veterans especially 87 year old fellow fighter pilots like John Glenn.

*********** John MccAin has a very funny way of showing respect for Veterans. He consistantly votes against veterans benefits and votes against bills that would help the familys of troops in Iraq, that are struggling to make ends meet.

Look Closely at brother McCain and you will discover that he is an opportunist who is drawn to the tv cameras like a magnet, and will talk a strong game.. But when the cameras are off, he wanders off looking for the next opportunity.

(Please don''''t remind me what he endured (not accomplished)40 years ago in a POW camp.

He also pushed for the law which prevents Americans from obtaining information on Vietnam POW/MIAs not yet accounted for.

Vote John McCain! Ohio is proud of John Glenn and John McCain both fighter pilots who served their country when their country was at war.
-------------

While at war, John McCain who was only admitted to the academy because of nepotism, graduated almost at the bottom of his class. He destroyed aircraft and caused "incidents" which, had it been anyone else, they would have been discharged from the service.

From McCain''s book, he wrote:

McCain described it this way in "Faith of My Fathers," which was published four years after Timberg''s account:

McCain, 1999 (p. 159): There were occasional setbacks in my efforts to round out my Navy profile. My reputation was certainly not enhanced when I knocked down some power lines while flying too low over southern Spain. My daredevil clowning had cut off electricity to a great many Spanish homes and created a small international incident." Funny how he got promoted after that.

McCain also has said for years that when on the USS Forrestal, the missile struck his own plane, and this has been widely accepted. But official documents don''t support that. So, he lies too.

Now, if you could explain to me why McCain has fought and continues to this day to fight, the release of information on Vietnam POW/MIAs, I''d really appreciate it.

I agree with having pride in John Glenn, but please explain how you''re proud of John McCain.

To OneAmerica7

You say OneAmerica, but is it multi-cultural or all white? Every American (no matter what race) has the right to pursue the highest office in this country.

I was going to comment on the madness that you are spewing about Obama, but you''re not worth it. Go ahead and vote for McCain and Palin because that is your prerogative, but speak what you know and not what you have heard!

Somebody tell sarah dumbo she''s not gonna get any extra votes from calling into Rush''s show. Anybody who listens to that blowhard is already voting for McSame anyway. If she plans on turning this around, she might want to appeal to someone BESIDES the republican base. Those people would vote for McSame even if he had Kermit the Frog as his running mate. Come to think of it, he might have been a better choice

What counts here will be VOTES. regardless of how many thousands register!! You guys better start keeping your eye on the bAll, because it is going to roll right over you on election day when Obama wins..mccain haa hijacked your common sense, with distractions like ayers, palin and acorn. it is more than likely too late for you however.

PugHenry - I know it''s fun to repeat Jonah Goldberg''s pet theory that ties the fortunes of the stock market to Obama''s rise or fall, but it doesn''t work. There''s no correlation whatsoever.

For example, over this last weekend scores of polls came out showing that Obama had widened his lead...and what happened to stocks? They rose by a record amount.

It''s one of the dumbest most ridiculous attempts to blame Obama for anything bad that happens that I''ve ever seen.

You do know that Obama has received more $$$ from Wall Street firms than McCain has, right?

It didn''t take me 6 years to get through 5 colleges for my B.A., but I have to read and re-read anything she says. Are people really seriously thinking of supporting any ticket with her on it? She''s no Hillary. They are both female and that''s where any comparison ENDS.

As an undecided voter, I am MUCH less concerned about Obama volunteering on a CHILDREN''S EDUCATION board with a person who wanted to bomb government buildings IN THE 60''s to protest the war

than I am about McCain''s much more recent ties to The U.S. Council for World Freedom, which supplied arms and weapons to ultra-right-wing death squads (ugh, terrorists????)

and Palin''s very recent ties to the Alaskan Independence Party, which clearly and loudly asserts it''s hatred of America, it''s government, it''s desire to be a separate nation and to which Palin has told ON VIDEO this year to "keep up the good work".

I kind of find there to be a huge huge difference in becoming acquainted with someone over childrens'' education issues and the ways that McCain and Palin became acquainted with their terrorist and treasonous friends.

I didn''t hear Obama criticize "87 year old" John Glenn. I heard him criticize 72 year old John Mccain. And he''s right to do so. Ohio chose wrong in 2000, 2004 and may do so again, but if I was the Obama campaign I wouldn''t beg Ohio for their votes. Keep voting against your own interest and go red again. The smart states will pick up your slack. (N.C. used to be red, now purple!)

"Is it because of support from foreign terrorist-enablers like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro for Obama?"

Yeah, dangnabbit Fidel Castro! How dare you be supporting Barack Obama from your hospital bed! And shame on you for sending all your money to al Qaeda! Wheeeeee you''re a moron.

Palin has no fear of ''real'' media, hence she can face Hnity and Rush at any time.
CNN, NBC,CBS, ABC or NYT do not qualify as media because she knows better from her 5 coleges that gave her the degree in journalism.
I''m voting for Jesus this time:
