Sign At McCain Rally Links Obama, bin Laden

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(WILMINGTON, N.C.) – A sign showing Barack Obama, Osama bin Laden, and a North Carolina Congressman convicted of fraud was outside the gym where John McCain held a rally today.

(CBS/John Bentley)
The sign was taken down as the media that travels with McCain pulled up to the event, but was later turned face up. After the sign started attracting more attention by the journalists and other onlookers, two men – who said they were not affiliated with either the McCain or Obama campaign – took the sign away.

There was no one holding any anti-Obama signs inside the event.

The third man on the sign is Thomas E. Wright, a former member North Carolina State Representative who was convicted of three counts of fraud and expelled from the House. He has no connection to Obama.

MCcain and the Good ole boys must be proud. The Republicans will never recover fron his racsist name calling campaign. All that come out of these type of meetings are small minded, people that never grew into the 21st Century.

There were alot of other signs at this rally. Why only report this one? Will there ever be any space on this website for a positive report on a McCain/Palin event?

How bout some reporting on these types of events from the Obama campaign:

Oh, and let''s not forget the Bush connections to terrorists. Do you know who Daddy Bush did business with? Yes, the bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia! It''s called the Carlyle Group. Look it up! Who is a greater danger, Bush or Obama? Ding ding ding, it''s Bush!

Oh, and Timmy, a weak military you say? It wouldn''t be so weak now if W. hadn''t invaded the wrong country. George: "Hmmmm...terrorists from Saudi Arabia attacked my country. They were trained in Afghanistan....I know, let''s invade Bulgaria!"

Oh Timmy. I don''t think many people know about the mountain of intelligence the Bush administration had about an imminent attack from terrorists. Remember that Bushie was president when it happened. And his reaction? Let''s bankrupt the military and our country in Iraq! Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but I don''t like that guy! Meanwhile, Afghanistan and Pakistan spiral back into chaos. Good job, W. Oh, google 9/11 timeline key warnings. You''ll see what a good commander in chief W. is.

Why, in the 21st century does the issue of race have to play such a large part in our country''s election?
When will those Americans who promote and condone this type of hatred grow up,smarten up and accept the fact that we are no longer a nation of one color, one religion?
We need to show the world we are leaders and problem solvers and that we are hard working, thoughtful Americans, and not a bunch of bigots and crybabies who cannot accept the world has changed???

the lack condemnation from the mccain palen is the same as condoning the racism. And who was it some months ago charging sen. obamam with injecting race into the campaign. I pray that there are enough americans that know and see the difference and will not tolerate this brand of hate.
