Palin Silent On Market Dive, Effusive On 1960s Radical

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(WILMINGTON, OHIO) - On a day when the Dow plummeted 679 points to close below the 8,600 mark for the first time since 2003, Sarah Palin didn’t mention the tanking market at a rally here. Instead, she devoted the better part of her remarks to questioning Barack Obama’s relationship with 1960s radical Bill Ayers.

Palin took the crowd through a timeline of the Obama campaign’s apparently shifting public statements on when the Democratic nominee learned about Ayers’ radical background.

“And this is all about patterns, and I’m going to talk about the patterns,” Palin said. “And I’m sure some will say, ‘Geez, you’re getting kind of negative.’ No, it’s not negativity, it’s truthfulness, and American voters deserve to know.”

Palin did speak about the ailing economy in broad terms and referred specifically to the possibility of local job losses at DHL, but she was silent on the day’s developments on Wall Street.

Although she recently declined to call Obama “dishonest” when asked by a reporter, at the Wilmington rally, Palin repeatedly questioned the Democrat’s truthfulness and said that of the two presidential candidates, McCain was “the only man with courage.”

Palin said that Obama’s decision to launch his political career in the living room of a domestic terrorist could be explained by examining the Illinois senator’s ambition.

“It's only gotta be ambition explaining launching your political career in the living room of an unrepentant terrorist, and ambition explaining that you can claim on Tuesday that John's idea was a good idea, in fact it was their idea, and then the next day that the homeowner resurgent plan was actually stolen from you, and then you attack it the next day,” Palin said.

How can Gov Palin be expected to comment on the economy her script hasn''t been written yet. Nothing better than another candidate wasting their education -- she was a journalism major and yet appears incompetent to write anything she presents herself.

Palin cant comment on the stock market because that takes actual intelligence, thought and a fundamental understanding of market parameters, of which she has none. People should ask her questions she can ACTUALLY answer like "Gov Palin, can you gut a moose faster than you cant sink McLoser''s campaign?"

Mary Poppins Palin is probably the most unqualified person in the history of this country to be a VP candidate, unless you think "gosh D A R N it, a MAVERICKY reformer who can go to washington and REIGN IN spending, so all that reformer stuff and wink at people and give a "shout out" like an MTV quest, is the answer to our problems, if you really are that naive, you shouldnt reproduce, let alone be allowed to vote.

I hope McCain and Parrot stay on their "We suck, but listen to this accusation" strategy.

While Obama and Biden are providing solutions and leadership, McCain and Parrot have offered nothing but negativity.

The polls indicate it''s a great strategy.

As a nation, it should be embarassing to the rest of the world that Sarah Palin is a vice-presidential candidate. But don''t blame her ... John McCain, in the LEAST patriotic move that he could make, named her - for political purposes only.

If an NBA coach had put me in a game and asked me to stop Michael Jordan on a drive to the basket and, of course, I couldn''t - sorry, but it wasn''t my fault. I knew all along I couldn''t.

John McCain asked her to run for vice-president ... is that what a "country first," patriotic leader would do. He is no less a political operative than Karl Rove or Paul Begala.

Everyone is blaming our government and elected officials for failing to "regulate" our financial industries. they are not responsible for controlling the "mine, mine, mine, me, me, me" attitude of the American consumer. I live near Daytona Beach and one week from today approximately 300,000 Haley-Davidsons will converge for Biketoberfest. Many of these motorcycles cost 15, 20 or 30 thousand dollars. American''s "I want it and I want it now" attitude is solely responsible for the mess we are now in. "I want a bigger house and by the way I want granite countertops and all new furniture and all new appliances and by the way I want a swimming pool. The unbridled covetness and greed of Americans got us here and all of this "Treasury" intervention is only going to delay the inevitable - a MAJOR, painful correction. If you don''t believe this, you just hide and watch.

Dear Lord - Palin has never seen the documentary "Weather Underground," nor was she even around during the heady sixties and early seventies.

Ayers was just one of us, all of us, who were infuriated with the fodder of the middle class, and lower class, being slaughtered in VN, while the Cheneys and Bushes enjoyed the high ride.

Dear Lord. Ayers is a non-issue, and he was asked to serve on the board of the Woods Fund, as well as Obama, by Reagan''s friend.

This is a non-issue, but which has legs only with the most ignorant, stupid voters. (And FAUX News.)

So, he''s linked to the "Citizen of the Year" in 1997. Big whoop. McCain committed treason under torture. Also big whoop. Most of us would.

Barack''s proposed policies and direction are what leaves him head and shoulders above Mr. McSame.

If you will let what a few fearmongering, desperate GOP party hacks like Sarah Phalin steer you, join the other few sheeple over in the far right aisle and watch (quietly please) while the rest of us turn America back into a country that true patriots CAN be proud of.

You know, like stop invading countries that aren''t threatening us, stop torturing like the Cong did, stop trampling on the constitution that real patriots have bled and died to defend since 1789.....remember, America, the shining example as opposed to the oppressive problem we have become since 2000?

Sarah Palin and John McCain have lost all moral authority and moral compass. They are close to inciting riots (and there are indeed laws against that) at their campaign rallies, where they clearly succeed in only one thing--character assasination and lying that leads their die-hard extremist fans to conclude that a respected U.S. Senator is a terrorist. Shouts are heard at these rallies that suggest lynch mobs and mob rule--"Kill him!" their crowd shouts, and "Terrorist!"

Why is nobody mentioning Palin''s ties to the Alaska Independence Party, a party founded by a radical who advocated violent resistance to the authority of the "colonial government" in DC? Did Obama marry a member of the Weather Underground? No. Did Todd Palin join the AKIP for 7 years in the middle of the Palin marriage? YES!! I guess country first means the independent nation of Alaska. Wake up people! Don''t fall for the shiny object in the corner distracting you from the 800 pound gorilla behind you devouring your investments.

PALIN DOES NOT KNOW THE BASICS ABOUT ALASKAN OIL

SHE THINKS OIL CANNOT BE EXPORTED FROM HER OWN STATE- AND SHE IS WRONG!!!!!!

10/9/08- A questioner at a town hall-style meeting in Wisconsin said he had heard that "at least 75 percent of the oil drilled in Alaska was being sold to China", and said, if true, he would like to know why.

"No. It''s not 75 percent of our oil being exported," Palin said, suggesting some of Alaska''s oil, in fact, may be going abroad but not that much.

"In fact," she added, "Congress is pretty strict on, um, export bans of oil and gas especially."

--- SORRY SARAH ---

Congress has never imposed outright bans on oil exports. THERE IS NO "BAN" ON OIL EXPORTS.

STUPID SARAH PALIN IS AN IDIOT- CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER, CHEAT CARDS (see "debate"), McCAIN BY HER SIDE TO ANSWER FOR HER, OR SOMEONE TALKING IN HERE EAR.

PALIN/McCAIN CONTINUES TO RUN A CAMPAIGN ONLY WORTHY OF VLADIMIR PUTIN IN RUSSIA.

Again on Tuesday, reporters weren''t permitted to wander around inside Coachman Park in Clearwater to talk to Palin''''s audience, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

When reporters tried to leave the designated press area and head to where the crowd was seated, an escort would dart out, confront him or her and say, "Can I help you?" and turn the person around, Times staff writer Eileen Schulte wrote on the paper''s Web site. When one reporter asked an escort, who would not give her name, why the press wasn''''t allowed to mingle, she said that in the past, "NEGATIVE THINGS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN", Schulte reported.

What the heck is going on? No real interviews. Blame the questioner when Palin cannot answer simple question? Turn Palin into nothing more than a picture on an campaign ad?

There must be something VERY VERY WRONG WITH PALIN for McCain''''s Campaign to hide her in such an extreme way.

We are supposed to vote for someone who does not think the American People deserve questions answered?

The question is whether Americans will allow it. If we do not vote her down because of this practice, it will guarantee that political discourse will be permanently destroyed. Candidates will become nothing more than "advertising campaigns" with pictures and slogans but no real serious questions about who they are or what they will do.

PALIN REPEATEDLY LIED ABOUT "BRIDGE TO NOWHERE"

Sarah Palin FLAT OUT LIED about her supposed "opposition" to the famous "bridge to nowhere" in Alaska.

In her V.P. introductory speech, and repeatedly afterward, she claimed she said, "thanks but no thanks" to the pork barrel project. IT WAS A LIE.

LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO, the Anchorage Daily News quoted her on Oct. 22, 2006, as saying yes, she would continue funding for the bridge because she could get projects through with help from Alaska Sen. Steven''s PORK BARREL federal money. "The window is now while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist," she said.

In a Sept. 20, 2006 appearance of the gubernatorial candidates in Ketchikan, she said, "The money that''s been appropriated for the project, it should remain available for a link, an access process as we continue to evaluate the scope and just how best to just get this done," the Ketchikan Daily News quoted Palin as saying. "This link is a commitment to help Ketchikan expand its access, to help this community prosper. I think we''re going to make a good team as we progress that bridge project."

Ketchikan Mayor Bob Weinstein said he was there at the candidate forum when "she was asked about the bridge and she supported it."

SO PALIN LIES. She''s a weak token candidate- an insult to the much more qualified Republican women McCain could have selected. Oh, and SHE LIES.

SARAH PALIN "HANGS OUT WITH" and is MARRIED TO A TRAITOR TO AMERICA

PALIN and "ALASKA INDEPENDENCE PARTY"

The Alaskan Independence Party (AIP) believes:
-- Alaska must SECEDE FROM THE UNITED STATES (can you say "49 states"?)
-- That "the vote for Alaskan statehood was invalid"
-- End ALL environmental regulation
-- TURN OVER All government lands to private parties
-- "INFILTRATE" THE MAJOR PARTIES TO OBTAIN ALASKAN INDEPENDENCE

WHAT IS THE EXTENT OF PALIN''S RELATIONSHIP TO THE AIP?

PALIN BELONGED TO THE AIP. A fact corroborated by the AIP until Palin was picked as VP candidate. Then the AIP suddenly changed their story.

PALIN''S HUSBAND SUPPORTED and BELONGED TO THE AIP until his wife ran for governor..

THE AIP SUPPORTED PALIN FOR GOVERNOR.

Vice Chairman of the AIP, Dexter Clark revealed this year:
"the one we were hoping would get elected, Sarah Palin, did get elected... She was an AIP member before she got the job as a mayor of a small town, that was a non-partisan job. But you get along to go along, she eventually joined the Republican Party"

Sarah Palin recorded a nice message to the AIP Convention THIS YEAR, saying that the party "plays an important role in our state''s politics" and that "we have a great promise to be a self-sufficient state."

Is Sarah Palin a radical Alaskan secessionist? She certainly believes in them, "PALS AROUND WITH THEM, and she belonged to their party before it became politically expedient for her to join the Republicans...

Nothing is more important that the candidates'' honesty and character. Palin is absolutely right and we are grateful that she has the courage to question what begs to be question. If you love your country, why would you associate with people that hate it and to seek to destroy it?

However, we should question Obama''s links not only to home-grown Marxists and terrorists but also with foreign Marxists, such as his Kenyan relative Odinga.

Obama used his elected office%u2014and taxpayers%u2019 dollars%u2014to support Kenya%u2019s Raila Odinga, self touted as %u201CYour Agent for Change,%u201D a violent and dangerous man who made a pact with the Muslims to institute sharia (Islamic law). Here''s a little quote from my google search about Bush/bin Laden/Carlyle Group:

"The Bin Laden Group was also heavily invested in the Carlyle Group, the "private equity" firm (and major arms merchant) that, like Bechtel, specializes in the sell-off of public services and other government-insider deals. Carlyle''s best-known bagman, George Bush I, used to make ritual pilgrimages to bin Laden family headquarters in Saudi Arabia to procure their potent baksheesh. When Carlyle''s post-Sept. 11 orgy of war-profiteering began drawing unwanted attention, however, the bin Ladens cashed in their Carlyle chips and, officially, ended the partnership."

dburfears, don''t forget that ALASKA INDEPENDENCE PARTY founder JOE VOGLER has stated " I am an Alaskan, not an American. The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to MY HATRED OF THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT". Joe Vogler was to attend the United Nations in 1993 to denounce United States "tyranny" and plea for Alaska''s freedom. And, he even got the IRANIAN GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT HIS ANTI-AMERICAN TIRADE. Sarah Palin is an anti-American radical secessionist who is currently terrorizing the American public by smearing Obama to DISTRACT them from paying attention to one of the worst financial crises since the Great Depression. So, let me make sure I understand this properly... we''re NOT supposed to look back and assign responsibility concerning the financial situation or the messes in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Instead, we ARE supposed to look back to the 1960s and hold Barack Obama responsible for what a young radical did -- cuz Obama refuses to snub him on the streets or on education boards.

It appears she also has first hand knowledge of Alaskan terrorist organizations.

She also has proven inept at the energy (her claimed greatest area of expertise) laws covering Alaskan oil that she claims cannot be exported. Those bans were dropped in 1996, is McCain''s living in the past contagious -- It appears Gov Palin has contracted it.

Today I opened my AARP magazine, the 2008 Voter''s Guide. I believe I have made my choice for President and am confident in that choice, but I am always aware that although I have made my choice, that he is not perfect and there could be better ideas on topics out there besides his. So, that being said, I was anxious to see what information I could gather from this new article. Guess what??? Out of all of the questions that were asked, Obama agreed mostly with the AARP consensus...What did McCain do? Nothing....that''s right, nothing....he did not bother to mark answers one way or the other. Now, there''s a reaffirmation of what I have been thinking all of this time. He has no answers and, if he does, he will not share them for fear of someone calling him to task over them. Think about this..AARP...how many people in the US are over the age of 50 and belong to this organization, yet he refused to state his position.Obama stated definitive policy information in each category, stating what his definitive answers are regarding top domestic issue priorities if elected, working to end the gridlock to get things done, a balanced SS plan, making saving for retirement easier, healthcare reform and long term care.McCain chose not to answer ANY of the questions, presented in an unbiased forum, totally in their words;a real opportunity to provide us with clear separation of the issues so that we can make the best decision possible for our country.Guess we''re not important enough.

This is funny--McCain made Republicans embrace a former mistress as potential first lady, illegitimate teen pregnancy, an Airhead for a VP and now they must embrace socialism and helping out the poor with a 300+ billion dollar mortgage bailout--before its over, the Republican party will seem more liberal than the Democrats and the Republicans have to swallow it--because he is all that they have.

Paying for a public bailout, ignoring subpoenas, then supporting airhead females for VP and championing pregger teens indeed--what were those conservative values again? Hypocrites.
