Obama Ad: Palin Pick Doesn’t Mean Change For McCain

Barack Obama’s campaign is up with a new ad today on John McCain’s selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, claiming that this surprise choice doesn’t make McCain an agent of change.

“Well, he’s made his choice,” the ad begins. “But, for the rest of us, there’s still no change. McCain doesn’t get it, calling this broken economy ‘strong’ … wants to keep spending ten-billion-a-month in Iraq … and votes with George Bush ninety-percent of the time. So, while this may be his running-mate [picture of McCain and Palin] … America knows this is John McCain’s agenda [picture of McCain and President Bush]. And we can’t afford four more years of the same.” Watch it:

McCain has hired the very type of person as VP, that he fought against in his early political career. Indeed, he fought against her own Bridge To Nowhere project.

She''s a governor, he''s a senator! He wants to be president with little experience, she was chosen to run for vice-president with experience in running a state! A few women might vote for her just because she is a woman, but a lot of blacks are voting for B.O. because he is half black!

McCain is about change.
Obama loves to talk and talk and talk and talk about change. Wanting to change politics as usual he picks a running mate who has been there almost as long as I have been on this earth. Obama wants to play it safe (politics as usual). McCain however takes action, and has chosen someone who has successfully taken on the establishment. Why do you think Kerry and his pals complain that she does not have their kind of experience to lead the country. If she is elected along with McCain, they could might be out of a job.

Words or action, that is our choice.

Biden not only makes disparaging remarks about "shiny" Blacks, or having to be "Indian" if you go to 7/11, but he is, despite his claims to be "Zionist" (funny, especially associating with a guy who hangs with the likes of Uncle Jerry and Zbig), is a bit of an anti-Semite too.

Where was the media when Biden made his RACIST remarks? They sure were all over Allen when he made that "macaca" remark about the moveon.org heckler.

Seems a double standard here, folks. Biden''s a bigot ala Jimmy Carter - but he does fit in with the Klan-loving, Lincoln dissing, Racial Hypocrite Obama.

If, as one poster infers, should Clinton woman supporters go to McCain merely because he selected as his running mate a woman, I''d like to remind folks that this is no different than the majority of shallow blacks voting for half black Obama merely because of his "race". I think Palin balances out nicely the Republican ticket, just like the Biden addition balances out the Democratic ticket. The Repubs have experience (McCain) with minimal experience (Palin), while the Dems have minimal experience (Obama) with experience (Biden). From a voter standpoint, where people vote based on the presidential candidate, the Repubs have a better chance than do the Dems.

OBama picks Joe Biden (30 years in senate), Mccain picks a Woman Gov from Alaska. looks like the real change is on the GOP side.

The reaction from the Dems say it all..they are scared.

I just read something that says she "supports big oil". Obvious some people dont know anything about her. Read a bit before making comments.

McCain''''s VP choice should inflame women. It is nothing more thatn a sarcastic, almost childishly impulsive, painfully overt move to get women''''s votes. What an insult to women! Does he believe that America''''s women are so shallow as to ignore ALL other information / issues and vote for him simply because he selected a female for VP? That is, that he believes women are simple thinking, one issue voters? Rubbish! I don''t buy it.

Joe Biden skeleton closet.
For those who don''t know Joe Biden: %u201CI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that%u2019s a storybook, man.%u201D

What does it tell you how he views African Americans? And this is the guy you want to vote in as running mate to Barack? Did Obama really chose Biden, a Washington insider, or was he told to take him? - is it paying back favors to those who bent the primaries in his favor?

McCain has a thing for beauty queens and models. I wonder what his cabinet will look like. I can just picture McCain looking through pictures of the VP choices and saying "She''''s hot".

wouldn''''t have thought this until I started meeting these women. Women who have insurance for their kids. Women who''''s husbands vote Republican. They were going to vote Hillary solely because she was a women. Don''''t kid yourself, right or wrong, there''''s plenty of them. LOL, LOL.

I teach at a local Community College and I have to say you aren''t just wrong... you are dead wrong. Most of the Women and Teachers I talked to saw right through this. I know McCain had little Choice, seeing the speech from Obama and seeing him jump up by 8 points in the Tracking Poll, he had to do something but this will turn off more Independents and Moderates than it will ever gain him. It looks just like what it is, a cave in to the Radical Part of his Party. That''s the part of the Party MOST people feel we HAVE to get away from.. have to stop the Gridlock. Now knowing we are going to have a Democratic Congress, it would appear to most intelligent people that McCain needs to move toward the CENTER.

Yes, but there are millions of IMAGINARY Hillary voters that are going to cast REAL ballots for McCain now that Palin is his running mate. The women voters Palin pulls from Hillary are voting on gender only. They won''''t consider the issues you raise.

LOL YOU honestly think this?? LOL Mothers who must send their kids out every day without health insurance will vote for someone who not only wouldn''t change the way it is, but would not even think of forcing Insurers to alter anything they are doing?? You have a very low opinion of American Women! Very low indeed. Sieg Heil McSame

No REAL Hillary supporter and few independents are going to be comfortable with the choice of VP who:
-was chosen after only one meeting and phone call
-is against abortion, even in cases of rape and incest
-supports creationism in the classroom
-holds numerous anti-environmental positions
-supports big oil
-has no foreign policy experience
-supported nonsense such as ''Bridge to Nowhere'' (before she was against it)
-is under investigation for abuse of her office
-etc, the list goes on

Palin is just another "out of his mind" gaff on MyCane''s part. He needs the far right base vote so he picks a totally inept ultra conservative woman. I don''t think it will work. I believe the American people already suspect that MyCane will have to leave office due to dementia. The thought of a precedent who is far right of Bush is too far right for the country.
