Powell For Obama?

Conservative activist/pundit/columnist Bill Kristol is telling Fox News that former Bush Secretary of State Colin Powell may endorse Barack Obama at the upcoming Democratic convention. “He may well give a speech at the Democratic convention explaining his endorsement of Obama,” Kristol tells Fox News. For the complete story, click here.

Update: A Powell spokesman denies the Fox News report today. Last month Powell also told CBS News chief political consultant Marc Ambinder he would "stay away" from both conventions.

Colin Powelle should be sent to prison for the part he played for the Bush Administrations lie about Saddam Hussein%u2019s Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Along with George Bush, Richard Cheney and Condoleeza Rice.

usais11,

If you read the piece that Foxnews had on this last night, Powell made the denial statement to Morton Kondracke.

If the rumor were he would make the same statement when being pressed. He has said previously that he''s undecided, so we''ll just have to wait and see.

I can''t imagine what Kristol''s motive would be to say this if he didn''t believe it...can you think of a reason?

ABC News'' Teddy Davis and David Chalian Report: Gen. Colin Powell told ABC News on Wednesday that he will not be going to the Democratic National Convention, disputing a suggestion made earlier in the day on the Fox News Channel by Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol.

"I do not have time to waste on Bill Kristol''s musings,%u201D Powell told ABC News. %u201CI am not going to the convention. I have made this clear."

Wellhell3,

An Obama scam? The source of the story has made himself known and it''s none other than Iraq War architect and Republican troll Bill Kristol.

It is a rumor until confirmed but one should ask why Kristol would float it if he didn''t have good reason to believe it.

Perhaps he wants to steal the drama of it being a surprise at the Convention.

Reflin- What the heck are you talking about? You are the delusional one- LOL. Last I looked I was a 55 yr old male who is a veteran of war- the Vietnem War, you moron. And if you cannot read- perhaps you ought to go to school- Powell is not going to the DUMMY Convention.

Now what in the world could Obscamma, a far leftest whackjob Marxist have in common with a far rightie republican other than a mixed heritage!

For pete''''s sakes this makes no sense at ''''tall about the issues facing this country!

Relax. This is just a rumor and I for one would not believe it until I actually saw it.

However, considering the outcome in the WMD search in Iraq and how Powell went on record at the UN with his WMD presentation, it certainly is possible.

It''s just another Obscamma endorsement scam...after the big hoop la at convention, they''ll dump Powell back to the republicans, just like they''ve had to dump most of the endorsement scam people, the latest of which is John Lying (buy a ho with campaign money) Edwards!

This is just that hack Kristol inoculating against the possibility. This is typical Republican games playing: If Powell speaks Fox News will say, "So what. We said it would happen."

If Powell does NOT speak, then you can be certain Fox News will say, "Has Powell had second thoughts about Obama?" as they usually frame their slimy propaganda as a question. They will say, "People said Powell would speak at the Democratic Convention. What happened?", and will proceed to embark on some slam against Obama.

If you haven''t seen this pattern before, you are not looking. Rove did exactly the same thing on FOX last week when he said Obama would make a "political VP pick". They just set the stage and then, SURPRISE, they walk onto it.
