On His 47th Birthday, Obama Is All Business

From CBS News' Michelle Levi:

(CHICAGO) - It's Barack Obama's 47th birthday, but from his campaign schedule you wouldn't know it.

Obama will hit the trail today to kick off what the campaign is calling "Energy Week." In Lansing, Michigan at 11am he will introduce his "New Energy for America" plan which includes an energy rebate to subsidize high gas prices, the creation of five million new green jobs and working to decrease dependence on Middle Eastern oil within 10 years.

On the heels of his trip to Michigan, Obama sent a letter to the DNC Credentials Committee just yesterday asking them to allow the delegates from Michigan and Florida to be allowed to cast full votes - rather than the half votes ruled diromg May's DNC meeting - at the Democratic National Convention.

"I believe Party unity calls for the delegates from Florida and Michigan to be able to participate fully alongside the delegates from the other states and territories," wrote Obama. It will be interesting to see if this appeal help Obama win a friendly reception in Lansing today and in voting precincts in November.

The campaign released a new hard-hitting TV ad today - sticking with the week's energy theme - which accuses McCain of taking contributions from oil companies in exchange for a tax break, a charge disputed by the McCain campaign.

In the ad, a narrator says, "Every time you fill your tank, the oil companies fill their pockets. Now Big Oil’s filling John McCain’s campaign with $2 million in contributions. Because instead of taxing their windfall profits to help drivers, McCain wants to give them another 4 billion in tax breaks. After one president in the pocket of big oil… We can’t afford another."

This evening Obama hosts a fundraiser in Boston before flying to Ohio to resume the tour tomorrow. The press has heard of no major deviations from typical campaigning in honor of the big birthday, however, keep checking "From the Road" in case there are any birthday surprises in store.

McCain has given us evidence that he is not arrogant like he says Obama is.

McCain says he does not claim to be a great leader. He says he will only be a mediocre leader.

The poor vote without being educated on issues, they are desperate for any kind of change, whether it is to their advantage or not- They will not accept that Obama is not qualified and will suffer even more consequences down the road. It is a shame, and will perpetuate the never ending defeat of what real change means: Sacrafice and committment to experiance.
Congress is a failure and Obama is worthless.

There ia a real funny youtube where John McCain picks Britney as his running mate. Check it out. How many phone calls does it take from Karl Rove for McCain to become a slime ball ? 1

News Break...This just in. McCain''s DNA has been found in "Ice Age Lucy." It appears that McCain whacked her when he found out she wasnt an heir to a beer distributorship. As if divorcing a crippled wife and marrying a BIMBO millionaire wasnt enough to meet the high Republican morals.

If your wife should be happened to be involved in auto accident and left injured, or if she just gets too old, then get rid of her and marry a younger more affluent woman that could boost your carrier.
