Obama: McCain Would Serve As "Loyal Opposition" In Obama Administration

From CBS News' Michelle Levi:

(TITUSVILLE, FLA.) - Barack Obama looked ahead to a potential Obama administration and suggested John McCain would serve as the "loyal opposition, in the minority."

"It is important to have a strong opposition," he added, "keeping you on your toes" and "calling you out."

At the start of his answer Obama joked the questioner was "setting [him] up to get in trouble" possibly alluding to recent criticism from the McCain campaign that he is presumptuous.

"You know I don't know that there's that perception," Obama said earlier this morning. "It's not really clear exactly what it's based on. If I was presumptuous or taking this for granted, I wouldn't be working this hard this week. I'm beat."

Earlier today in Cape Canaveral, Fla., Obama addressed the recent bitterness in the presidential campaign and accused McCain's campaign of using "clever distractions" to divert attention from serious problems.

"The one thing we know about team that John McCain's assembled, because it's a carryover from some of the folks that worked on Bush campaigns and some of the Republican campaigns in the past, is that they're very good at negative campaigns. They're not so good at governing. And that's why if you think about this week, what they've been good at is distraction." Obama told reporters.

While quick to accuse the McCain campaign of negative campaigning, Obama argued his counterattacks are merely defensive responses.

"This is the classic dilemma of politics, right? So, we get 4-5 shots in a row. That I would rather, um, lose a war so I can win a campaign. That I’m not willing to visit the troops. That I somehow am you know full of myself. That I’m an empty headed celebrity," he said listing recent McCain arguments against him.

"Whatever repeated attacks have been launched this week. And so when I say, boy, that’s silly arguments, then the press says, well isn’t that being negative? Well no! I’m describing what their strategy has been for the last week, I would argue for the last month."

He assured reporters his campaign does not take the capacity of McCain's team for granted arguing that recent accusations that he is "arrogant" and "presumptious" is "something that's being fed to the media by" his opponent's campaign.

"It's not really clear exactly what it's based on. If I was presumptuous or taking this for granted, I wouldn't be working this hard this week. I'm beat," he argued, confirming reports that he is exhausted.

http://www.girlinshortshorts.blogspot.com/2008/02/john-mccain-and-mob.html =McCain''s money

McCain helped Bush in the run-up to the war, when McCain mumbled his lies about Iraq being the do-er of the Anthrax murders. Turns out to have been an inside job by US government scientists. Yet Mccain''s ''sources'' told him to tell us on television it was those Iraqi''s.
McCain is much deeper into the Bush Iraqi''s lies than many realize. There are still two months of this election to go. See the video of John McCain on the late night show, telling lies about Anthrax and Iraq in 2001.
Ask Rick Davis the manager of the campaign. McCain doesnt speak for his own campaign. HE IS A PUPPET.

The celebration has begun. We are delighted to end the regime of lies and repression. Our delight is boundless.

He is being re-paid with this nomination, because his incipient Alzheimer''s makes him the perfect Manchurian candidate. Ask Rick Davis the manager of the McCain campaign. Davis said McCain doesnt speak for his own campaign, when he opened new ground on social security. How can the manager say the candidate does not speak for the campaign?

China America''s number one supporter. Hey isn''t Obama gonna use that money used for the war on social programs here at home. Does that mean he''s going to continue to borrow the money from China? LOL You are being lied to suckers.

My goodness, how dare McCain protect himself from being labeled a racism by Obama. Maybe we should beat him with a wet noodle. You Obama supporters are in the dark, come out come out from where ever your leader has your common sense hidden. You are being brainwashed. HAVE YOU BEEN SAFE SINCE 9/11. And there was a commission called together after 9/11 (/11 commission. Mayb you are too young to remember it.

He did the same thing with the McCain Lieberman bill. Its been reported that Obama would hang around people introducing bills and when ask if he can join th discussion. As soon as he is invited, he takes over and injects himself on to the bill, when takes credit for it.

"Some People..." funny how The Media never quizzes The Right, with those *Some People* questions.
Another lovely thing about the Media... when the Dems were in the minority, and even mentioned the thought of a Filibuster, the Media would go non-stop spewing the GOP talking points - - *up or down vote,* obstructionist Dems,* *the nuclear option...* etc...
Yet, now the media NEVER mentions that the GOP has Filibustered, probably over 100 times, which has led to most of the Gridlock.
Anyone that still thinks the Media is left-wing, obviously doesn''t pay too much attention to Government, because anyone that does, knows The GOP plays the Media, and the Media just parrots what they''re told.

I can''t imagine anything about the obstructionist Republican party being loyal to the American people. They''ve spent the past eight years raping us.

Yesterday, Obama was heckled by African Americans in Florida. Obama responded that he passed the first important racial profiling bill in Illinois. Very misleading. State Senator Rick Hendon did all the work on that bill and took all the heat, and at the last moment it was handed to Obama by Emil Jones. Why? Because Obama hadn''t accomplished much and wanted to run for the U.S. Senate. Some called it bill hijacking. Why doesn''t MSM report this? Good question.
