McCain Camp's Fake Press Pass Lampoons Obama, Media

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(WILKES-BARRE, Penn.) John McCain’s campaign had a little fun at Barack Obama’s expense tonight, issuing a fake press pass to the McCain traveling press on the bus as we landed at the airport here. The front of the pass identifies the McCain press corps as the “JV Squad” and has the caption “Left Behind to Report in America.”

The reverse side features a Frenchman pouring a glass of wine with the same caption en francaise (“Laisse en arriere pour faire un rapport en Amerique”).

The fake press pass satirizes the preferential treatment that the McCain campaign suggests the media has given Barack Obama. The allegation of media bias is nothing new but has reached a fever pitch in light of the presumptive Democratic nominee's foreign trip, which has garnered extensive attention from the press.

Earlier on Tuesday, the McCain campaign released a web ad called "Obama Love," which strings together a series of clips featuring prominent TV journalists lavishing praise upon the Illinois senator.

Check out the pictures of the fake press pass below.

Everyday John McCain reminds us just how much he is just like Bush...his "JV" juvenile/demented behavior is exactly like Bush''s. Scary. Just the other day Bush demonstrated his lack of vocabulary by saying "Wall St. was drunk" ..how low can these Republican candidates go? Amazing

John McCain = 3rd Bush term. No Question.

These people are behaving like petulant children. McCain is worse than a Bush 3rd term.

Maybe if the Republicans were to change their game plan SOMEONE WOULD LISTEN!
But, when it%u2019s the Same McSame old thing time after time %u201Cit%u2019s the media my friends, and the Liberals, and those Clintons, folks%u2026%u201D or, possibly if the Republican Party would attempt to do one thing positive for the American People instead of simply resorting to attack politics they would have something to run on. Until then laissez faire mes amis?

Obama is the teacher saying to the world all my students did not fly into the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon! This is Obama''''s plan, legacy, and shows his charisma as well. First, all he is is a black teacher at law school. That''''s what he is using. Traditionally, when I think of a black professor, I think of someone who knows the laws dealing with "minorities" over everything else. I mean that''''s what they are best at, what they like dealing with, and what is expected of them by their students. So, here comes along Obama with that label. Minorities such as radical extreme Islamist groups can use this fatherly protection against the United States to come in and learn how to fly planes for example. Obama is keeping his fingers crossed when he talks to the heads of countries such as Palestine, Iraq, and Jordan. It might work in the short term for the terrorists. Maybe they want to see what they can get. Thus, unintentionally or intentionally Obama is telling countries such as these that maybe he wants to send American troops to Afghanistan to kill them like over 10,000 Russians were killed there. That''''s Barack Obama''''s plan, legacy, and secret. That''''s why I''''m begging you to vote for John McCain. John has the experience to get things done. God Bless Senator John McCain, our troops, and the USA

Waaaagh! Waaaagh! Cry me a damned river!

Grandpa should understand that the reason McCain gets no coverage is because is entire campaign is about as interesting as oatmeal.

If he wasn''t so old and boring, maybe he could get some traction.

CBS, how is it that you cut out McCain''s remarkable revisionist history answer to Katie Couric last night regarding the Anbar Awakening? Why do we have to go to other news outlets to figure out what Senator McCain''s ACTUAL answer was to Katie?

If elected as president Obama will remove the word "white" from certain foundations. One place will be the use of the word "White House". If he has to he will ask the terrorists to fullfill the destiny of flight 93 to do it.

It seems to me that this is very wasteful spending for a campaign and a man who says he aims to cut wasteful spending.

Obama would be bad for the country. Obama has a similar sounding name to Osama Bin Laden. Laden has been around for many years. How could Barack ignore Bin Laden in his past campaigning, and do as I describe below. Barack sounds like barracks, the %u201CO%u201D in Obama is hinting at praise, %u201Cbam%u201D sounds like bomb, and the last letter in his name %u201Ca%u201D could stand for America. If you stitch these together Barack%u2019s name is saying to the subconsciousness of the American people %u201Cpraise the bombing of America%u201D. Who can do the bombing. Well, we have a lot of terrorists for that. What makes things worst when you think about Barack%u2019s name is Obama has worn muslim cloths, has a bad middle name (Hussein), and attended an anti-semite church. It%u2019s just like someone with an Adolph Hitler mustach sounding off. Also, I saw the name %u201CBarack%u201D and %u201CObama%u201D and though of the bombing of the US barracks in 1983 Beirut, and the bombing of the US barracks in the Gulf War. His initials, %u201CBO%u201D, are like he%u2019s saying if you vote for me you will be making the country stink with radiation. Barack%u2019s attacks on John McCain can also be related to Barack%u2019s name. Barack%u2019s name can be seen to be saying %u201Cbaa%u201D like a sheep saying %u201Cbad%u201D (another reference %u201Cbaa-humbug), %u201Crack%u201D pointing directly towards John McCain%u2019s torture at the hands of the Vietnames.

The fake press pass matter shows McCain''s effort to improve press coverage of his campaign. However, CBS doesn''t help the matter of balanced reporting by editing out McCain''s false statement about the start of the Sunni insurgents'' "Awakening" after the surge started when they actually started cooperating with us in September 2006 before the surge began

Is McCain losing his mind to old age? And why does the press never cover mccains mistakes

Mccain is making a lot of mistakes during the campaign. He said in a interview on the Today show that Iraq and Pakistan shared a border.
In an interview with Katie Couric , he stated the Sunni %u201Cawakening%u201D occurred during the %u201Csurge%u201D, although the %u201Csurge%u201D came months after the %u201CSunni Awaking%u201D.
In an interview with a Pittsburgh reporter, McCain told the reporter that he gave the names of the Pittsburgh Steelers as his flight crew. Although in his book he gave the name of the Green Bay Packers.
In an interview with a LA reporter, McCain acts dumfounded about what his stance on insurance covering viagra and not birth control pills. He finally says he doesn%u2019t have enough information to answer the question.
During a town meeting in Arizona he talked about Czechoslovakia, when the country had not existed since 1993.
During a press conference , McCain stated that Iran was aiding and arming al qaeda in Iraq. Joe Lieberman had to inform McCain that al qaeda was Sunni not Shia and iran was aiding insurgents not al qaeda.
Mccain bragged to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials
about the fact that he supported the 1986 immigration bill. He actually vocally opposed the bill and voted against it.

So is McCain confused and would you really want he with his finger on the nuclear button.

In all fairness, any candidate can misspeak...and most do at some point. The campaigns are long and grueling. There is jet lag, long days, and short nights. Also, neither candidate''s finger will be on the nuclear button. They will certainly have the final say, but the button is ultimately pressed by the military.

Having said that, McCain does seem to have problems keeping facts straight. We''ve seen that problem first-hand with Bush, and I for one don''t want another four years of having to make excuses for the ignorance of our President. McCain was never the brightest bulb, but I respected his independence. Now that he has sold his soul to the Republican corporation, he no longer has my respect or my vote.

Is AMNESTY-JOHN still in the race?

Given the loony-left MSM''s ALL-HUSSEIN, ALL-THE-TIME propaganda, one gets the impression that it is a one-person contest. Obviously, that is the only way a Kerry-like shallow, arrogant, platitude-spouting, inexperienced, elitist, narcissistic, flip-flopping gas-bag, who is so mentally deficient from extensive drug use he even has to plagiarize his hollow platitudes, could win an honest election.

ChrisL45....Every once in a while someone comes up with a post that is almost impossible to believe. You have done that today. I have never read anything quite so ridiculous in my whole life. Your analysis of Obama''s name is just astounding. How did you come up with this brilliant commentary? I''m not going to ridicule you because you have done that to yourself. I can only say that I am embarrassed for you. You would do well to stop and think long and hard before you put up another post like this one.

Lets see if I''ve got this right, while Obama is out making news, McCain is crying that the media (his base), isn''t giving him enough attention?
Is anybody else embarrassed for him? He is really coming across as an insecure, petty, spoiled juvenile.

Why not? It is a well no fact, that when people have nothing left--humor is the best refuge.

McCain should be thankful for less press coverage, that way when he is performing his daily Tai Chi of "sticking his foot in his mouth" maybe the press will miss some of it and maybe, they will only see him as he and his aids are removing that foot--then like they have in the past--they can declare that McCain was just using his mouth to clean his toenails.
