Obama Arrives in Jordan

(CBS)
From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(AMMAN, JORDAN) Barack Obama arrived in Jordan just before 7:30am ET, where he will kick off the campaign portion of his Middle East and Europe tour. Obama arrived on a V22 military jet and he's accompanied by Sens. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., and Jack Reed, D-R.I. The three senators will head to the Citadel in Amman, where they will take questions from reporters likely to focus his their three day visit to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Later, Obama will meet with King Abdullah, who is returning from a visit to Denver, Colorado. This will be the first time the two men will meet in person. Campaign aides said Abdullah proposed the meeting, after he was approached by the campaign to have an event with the King. Obama adviser Gen. Scott Gration will serve as the official note taker and will be the only additional person present.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania will later host an official palace dinner for Obama, Sens. Hagel and Reed, Gen. Gration, and U.S. Charge d’Affaires Dan Rubinstein.

Campaign aides describe Obama’s meeting with the King today as “appropriate”, despite the fact that he will not be negotiating new policy and will only discuss issues in broad term. Since announcing the trip, the campaign maintains Obama will not be playing the part of president, nor will he be campaigning while he is overseas. They insist that it is important for the presumptive Democratic nominee to hear directly from leaders of countries who have a “critical relationship” with the United States.

Obama’s last visit to Jordan was in January 2006, after his first, and only trip to Iraq.

What''s wrong with Republicans?

They act as if they haven''t been driving the bus all this time and now complain, or attempt to blame anyone else for what they''ve created.

What is wrong with the Media? Why can''t they investigate all of Obama''s stories and keep making an issue about them. He''s applying for the most challenging job in the "world".

Thank God McCain has the courage to stand up for Americans with his ads.

Just one of many issues surrounding Obama is enough for me and my community.

Obama has minimal government experience, an anti American Pastor as a mentor, many co workers that are radical leaders, a non practicing Muslim father and an Atheist as a mother. Obama is a fast talker, flip flopper and a racist man running for President: The media and the authorities should be investigating this man.

Just knowing that Louis Farrakhan, anti Semitic, radical, Nation of Islam leader supports Obama should be enough to make our hair stand up on end.
Watch Louis Farrakhan and his followers:

Farrakhan held a rally with 20,000 Islam members in Chicago just a few months ago.

Many questions need answering. Obama''s father was a non practicing Muslim. How do the Muslim nations view Obama? Aren%u2019t we at war?

Why shouldn''t that be a proper question to ask Obama?

Obama is risky and scary. The media should be talking about Obama''s relationships with radical leaders and anti American supporters as much as they should be reporting about a nominee that was being supported by the KKK.
What are they afraid of?
