Not All Clinton Supporters Embrace Unity

From CBS News' Jamie Farnsworth:

(CINCINNATI) At Xavier University in Cincinnati, Sen. John McCain hosted a town hall event for voters this afternoon. Among the many McCain supporters sat a woman wearing a navy blue “Hillary For President” hat.

The day before a much anticipated first campaign appearance by Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, a new AP/Yahoo News poll released findings that over half of Clinton supporters are now backing Obama. However, there are still some former Clinton supporters shopping for a new candidate.

“I’m a registered Democrat looking for a presidential candidate,” the Clinton supporter told John McCain. “There are lots of women who feel now disenfranchised.”

McCain answered the voter by singing his own praise of Clinton, saying “all of us respect not only Senator Clinton but the race that she ran. She inspired millions of Americans and millions of American women and women all over the world.” He went on to say he appreciated being able to work with Clinton on the Armed Services Committee.

The voter neglected to say who she would be voting for, only that she wished Obama was at the town hall with McCain. She also said she felt compelled as a woman to question McCain’s positions on women’s rights and express her concern over his possible Supreme Court appointees.

For a candidate no longer running for president, Clinton still is very much in the minds of voters and tomorrow she will try to sway the remaining undecided toward her one-time rival.

To the rocket scientist posting the Obama quotes from his books: first, its called Dreams FROM My Father, not Dreams OF my Father. Second, these are for all either FALSE quotes or quotes completely out of context from a viral email perpetuated by Republicans who know they can''t win the White House on their own merits.

Here is the real story, please educate yourselves: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/ownwords.asp

If you believe what comes in your in box, please do the country a favor and stay home on voting day. We need people of intelligence voting our leaders in, not people who believe the guy is a Muslim because an email from Uncle Buck said so.

And to you Hillary supporters, get over it already. We need you back in form.

"She also said she felt compelled as a woman to question McCain%u2019s positions on women%u2019s rights and express her concern over his possible Supreme Court appointees." Why? Because he''s promised to appoint ultra conservative jurist, wants to overturn Roe, opposes equal pay, is for abstinence only *** education and opposed to govt funding of contraption for anyone? See like some good reasons to oppose ol John to me.

I would to see Chelsea Clinton involved with the Obama Campaign and even a possible governmental appointment of some sort, if the Democratic Candidate is elected to the office of the President. Barack Obama has all the necessary experience to administrate the US Government surrounding him with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and a host of Senior Senators and Congressmen. Chelsea Clinton and other young Americans would represent the future of experienced servants in our government.

6/26/08--(LPAC)--The blog of former CIA officer, Larry Johnson, "No Quarter" has posted an article titled "Hitler and the New Democratic Party," which clearly draws on the billionaire George Soros'' dossier. The article is not signed but is attributed to a supporter of "I Own My Vote" a new website set up by supporters of Hillary Clintion to assure that the 18 million Americans who voted for her are represented at the Dem Party Convention and beyond. The article begins by arguing that the Dem Party nomination process is open until the vote of the DNC Convention in August, and quickly turns to the forces behind the rigged election, in a section tilted "The George Soros factor". The article lays out the connection between Soros and Nazi Germany, citing the fact that Soros was the adopted grandson of an official of the Nazi government, and reports on the 1998 interview with Steve Kroft on "60-Minutes", where Soros indicates he feels no sense of guilt or remorse for what he participated in the looting of Jewish personal property. The article also describes Soros'' role in passing McCain-Feingold and his acquisition of a host of 527''s such as MoveOn, ACT, and Media Matters. His role as primary backer of the failed Howard Dean 2004 Pres. Candidacy, and his influence on the Dem Party through the Democracy Alliance. The author concludes that "George Soros more than any other American is the greatest threat to our Democracy and.... has a sacrificial lamb in Barack Obama."

Clinton will do as she''s told and support Barack because her political future will be over if he loses. The party will never forgive her for her early negative attacks on Barack and for staying in the race too long if he loses. She''ll never hold another elected office with an (D) after her name again.

Obama is Hillary''s pimp. He is pimping her out. Asking for his backers to help pay her debt, just to try and buy their votes for his campaign. I don''t care if Hillary and Obama are doing a unity tour......Obama is still a lying salesman with no leadership or experience in his resume.

Many people I know have marriages that ended in ways that they wish had been different.

I''m looking for a candidate that I believe can lead this country. He may not hold all the same views at me, but at least I have to be able to trust that over a lifetime he has made decisions based on honor and integrity,

At this point I''m researching both, but McCain seems more my kind of candidate. And, I pray that Hillary would not accept the Democratic VP job if asked, but then she probably wouldn''t be because she is too experienced and knowledgable.

Why would we vote for someone who flip/flops and changes his stance every day? FISA, Public financing. The whole premise of his campaign is that he is a different sort of politician. Yet,he gave over 700 grand to superdelegates by Feb. We don''''t even know the final number. Superdelegates choose the candidate who gives them the most money 82% of the time. Clinton had donated 280 grand by Feb. Also, Obama has received tons of money from PACS and lobbyists. He is the biggest hypocrite and flat out liar we have ever seen.
Then lets factor in the undemocratic DNC, led by Dean, Pelosi and Brazile. Disenfranchising voters and selecting a winner. Let''''s not forget the media themselves. The most biased and sexist coverage of any primary in our history. MSNBC and CNN win the award for most egregious conduct.
Finally, there are the Obama supporters themselves. Not in 30 years of voting have I seen supporters attack their own party members with so much disrespect, anger and name calling- completely devoid of any factual analysis.
Put it all together and it''''s a- NO DEAL. Party United My @ss.

They did not want Obama to start with for good reasons. Why would they want him now?

He will make a worthless President Then and now.

Even Nancy Pelosi said he has not experience, just ideas.

Proof Positive he is not worth voting into the Office of President.

It has nothing to do with his color, nothing to so with woman.

It has everything to do as him being worthless and fitting to be President. Then and Now.

Au contraire! Obama nor Clinton won it with pledged delegates. That left it up to the superdelegates to deicde who had the best chance of winning the general election. It wasn''t Obama...Hillary had 300,000 more votes than he did.

He had the option of a re-vote...in both those states...he didn''t take it, because he knew he had broken the DNC rules in both states.

He had the opportunity to allow the votes to be counted as voted in both states. He refused and blocked it!

Obama did NOT win the nomination he was APPOINTED by the DNC...after he bought and paid for the superdelegates! Period!

Females, before voting for McCain, maybe you should read about why he really left his wife:

mortal3 - you must be one of Obama''s henchmen but I will tell you one more thing. People are not going to make up their minds based on one article in a newspaper. There are many other issues to look at. For instance, is Obama a flip-flop? Was he and the left wing media ruthless in their dealings with Hillary? Is Obama being less than forthright on his past?

Do you really believe all the *** that you read. How about the article which says that Obama attended a radical madrassah in Indonesia. I think not. I am sure you apply critical thinking to what you read in the news.

gilesjp,

You are wrong if you think the supporters are plants, that is wishful thinking. Try checking out a pro-Hillary website. This is an organized movement. You can''t disenfranchise voters and expect no consequences. Obama may be able to get some of them back if she agrees to join him on the ticket. Even then, many will not see him as an option.
