Obama Offers to Meet with Clinton “Once the Dust Settles”

(CBS)

From CBS News’ Maria Gavrilovic:

WATERFORD, MICH. -- In his congratulatory call to Hillary Clinton yesterday, Barack Obama said he offered to meet with her “once the dust settles” at a time and place of her choosing. “I emphasized to her what an extraordinary race that she's run and said that there aren't too many people who understand exactly how hard she's been working,” Obama said, while campaigning at a Rite Aid distribution center here.

Obama also said he apologized to Clinton for Rev. Michael Pfleger’s comments, calling them “offensive.” Overall, he described the conversation with Clinton as “general” and said both candidates are still focused on the contests tomorrow. “The most important thing we can do right now is not only make sure we win Montana and South Dakota, but also that we show we’re competitive in critical swing states like Michigan,'' Obama said. “And that’s why we’re here today, because we want to not only win the nomination, but we want the entire party to feel unified about the need to focus on states like Michigan that have been neglected during George Bush’s tenure.”

He promised to campaign in the state aggressively. “Tell your friends and family ‘Obama’s here and he’s not going away until we win Michigan’,” he told the Rite Aid employees.

Obama has just messed up the whole primary and the DNC stole Delegates in Michigan and Florida to aide Obama in getting the nomination. Now the DNC wants Clinton supporters to support Obama. There is no way that I would even consider voting for Obama. I will campaign for McCain and he will be our next President.

"...we want the entire party to feel unified about the need to focus on states like Michigan." MI delegates were hijacked and stolen, and MI and FL disenfranchised with 1/2 votes by slice-and-dice-the-vote Obama.

With HRC supporters working for his resounding defeat in November and voting for McCain, Obama will crash and burn in November and the Democratic Party will be a train wreck in November.

Make Hildebeast the Ambassador to Kabul.

She can corkscrew in and dodge some REAL sniper fire while running for the limo.

That''ll put some hair on her chest.

Even if he puts Hillary on the ticket he will not get my vote - Then absolutely no reason to put her on the ticket - We are better off someone like Edwards, Sebelius. Richardson or Webb
